Day 1: First Ever Time Doing That Gym Thing
1. I have a free membership through my school 2. Any of my other workouts (squats, reps of 15 pound dumbbells, crunches, planks, push-ups) can all be done at my home, so can running but running on a treadmill allows me to stay at a consistent pace and not resort to walking. 3. I ran my first mile today. 10.54. It’s the best I’ve ever done, but it’s the start. So I hope to maybe reduce that by 10 seconds each time I go back? Is that under or too ambitious? I should take it easy I imagine. 4. I forgot water. That was dumb. 5. Running that mile is all I did because running like that for 11 minutes straight is something I’ve never done before. 6. I don’t remember the last time I was dropping sweat like that. 7. My teeth hurt a lot after the run 😩dentist this Monday. 8. I’m going to come back tomorrow and do 10.44, watch me. 9. When I get to 10 minutes I’ll be 😊 that’s my first big goal. 10. I think if I can get to an 8 minute mile I’ll start doing 2 miles? 11. My goal is to be able to run a 5k without walking 12. I think the treadmill said I burnt 120 calories, so yay a slice of cheese haha 13. Here’s my first overrated gym pic to be proud of myself
