fadsgdasg I haven't seen very many "iconic" movies myself, but ... One Royal Holiday, White House Down, My Date with The President's Daughter
k, dearest friend of mine, are you kidding? these are excellentttttt selections. anyone who says otherwise is an extremely rude bender of the truth! now, to business!
‘one royal holiday’ ✔️ | of course, naturally, anyone who’s heard me talk for two minutes would guess i’ve seen! i love a good hallmark holiday venture, and one headlined by my much-adored dude aaron tveit? i totally tuned in ‘opening night’, eschewing my final bag of candy corn in favor of gingerbread creamered-coffee on halloween! laura osnes being his partner in the endeavor? i could’ve collapsed from my joy! her being an anti-vaxxer wounds me to my core because everythingggg is a little tainted in hindsight... they danced to ‘the christmas waltz’ - a wonderfulllllll festive tune - and did the freezing suit jacket swap, though, so all cannot be lost!
‘white house down’ ✖️| i’m not usually one for action movies unless they’re superhero-studded, most often of the marvel variety. but i can say that this starred some combo or singular iteration of gerard butler or channing tatum? and the world was preserved upon its conclusion?
‘my date with the president’s daughter’ 💯 | i have the most idiotic grin on my face right now! tinier e cherished this and adult e now needs to investigate disney plus! eric matthews and alice from ‘adventures in wonderland’? i couldn’t have asked for a more perfect melding of my youthful affinities! this has always been my ‘chasing liberty’, honestly!
SEND YOUR FORMATIVE CLASSIC / FAVORITE FILMS MY WAY; i’ll say if i’ve seen and set the scene of that experience!
JENNY YOU KNOW I'M GONNA ASK ABOUT THE CROSSOVER
Katie, this is suuuuper super late, but have the first meeting of Tim and Lucy in the Christmas Crossover.
On his drive home, Tim takes Main Street, the shortest drive to get him home. To his own dismay, he finds himself pulling his car into the small off-street parking lot, walking towards a bakery that he’s avoided the entire time that he’s lived in Easton. With its candy-pink sign, the name is declared in a fancy white scrawl, A Piece of Cake. If getting Angela’s favorite treat for her isn’t going to do the trick, he’s really going to run out of options quickly.
Tim steps inside, immediately rolling his eyes at the overabundance of Christmas lights and decorations, like being assaulted by Santa himself when he steps inside. The shop owner has a reputation for really oozing with Christmas spirit, and Tim thinks it’s horrible.
“Happy Holidays, Officer Bradford,” the bakery owner says with a bright smile, “what can I help you with today?”
Tim bites back the desire to roll his eyes, instead forcing a tight smile. “I need a slice of carrot cake.”
“Oh, I don’t actually have slices of carrot cake—”
“Actually,” Tim presses his lips into a tight line. “An entire cake would be fine. How long would that take?”
“I don’t actually serve cakes here,” Lucy admits as she sets her hands gently on the counter. “It’s primarily cookies and pastries.”
“But your bakery’s name is literally A Piece of Cake,” Tim scoffs, trying to think of how the hell he can apologize to Angela if her favorite dessert is out of the question. “How do you own a business that has cake in the name and not bake cakes?”
62, 68 or 79 for Tarlos, whatever you're feeling!
TK says good-bye to the last of their guests with a wave ofhis hand, before closing the door to their apartment. He turns around and leansagainst the door letting out a tired but pleased sigh. Looking across the room,he smiles as he spots Carlos fussing around by the sink. He takes a moment tojust get his fill before pushing himself off the door and makes his way intothe kitchen, sliding up behind Carlos as he wraps his arms around his waist.
He presses his face into the crook of Carlos’ neck, lettingout a soft sound as he breathes him in. “It can wait until tomorrow,” hewhispers, referring to the dirty dishes in the sink.
Carlos chuckles softly, tipping his head to the side when TKgives the strip of skin under his ear a soft bite. “I’m just letting themsoak,” Carlos says back a little breathless when TK pulls his earlobe betweenhis lips.
“Tyler,” Carlos lets out a quiet moan, and TK smiles againsthis neck, after almost three years of being together he never gets tired ofbeing able to reduce Carlos to a whimpering mass with just a few soft touches.
TK slips his hands under Carlos’ shirt, his fingers lightlytracing the smooth skin above his pants, enjoying the way Carlos’ stomach jumpsunder his fingertips.
“Come on,” he says quietly next to Carlos’ ear. “Everyone isfinally gone, and I have wanted to make out with you on the couch since youcame out of the bedroom in this ridiculously tight shirt of yours.”
Carlos lets out a quiet laugh as he turns around, and TK isstruck with just how beautiful the love of his life is. His brown eyes sparklewith joy and love, and TK wonders not for the first time how he got so lucky tohave this.
“Well, I can’t say no to that proposal,” Carlos teases, hiseyes crinkling at the corners. “The dishes didn’t stand a chance.”
“I would hope making-out with me ranks higher than dishes,Reyes,” he states dryly, taking Carlos’ hand as he leads him to the leathercouch in the living room. “If not, we’re in trouble.”
Carlos gives TK a soft shove back on the couch beforeclimbing on to his lap, his thighs on either side of TK’s as he faces him.
“You rank above everything else in the world, soon-to-beReyes, and you know it,” Carlos answers with a smile. He holds out his palm forTK to take the ring he gave Carlos earlier in the week; he took it off to dealwith the dishes.
TK holds the ring in his hand, slipping it on Carlos’ ringfinger with thankfully less shaky hands than when he proposed. He brings thehand to his mouth, pressing a kiss to it.
“Thank you for saying yes,” he whispers, looking into Carlossoft brown eyes, finding the overwhelming, all-consuming love he feels forCarlos reflected back at him in them.
“Thank you for asking,” Carlos answers just as softly, hebrings TK’s hand to his chest over his heart. TK can feel the steady beat underhis palm. “I promise I’ll make you so happy, TK, every day I’ll make it mymission to make you smile and laugh.”
TK tugs at Carlos’ shirt, letting a sigh when Carlos comeseasily, pressing his lips against TK’s.
“You already do,” he murmurs against Carlos’ mouth. “Beingwith you these last three years have been the happiest of my life. I can’t waitto spend the rest of my life with you, making you as happy as you make me.”
Carlos kisses him hard, and TK moans into the kiss, hishands gripping Carlos tight, pulling him higher on his lap as Carlos licks hisway into his mouth.
“Te amo,” Carlos gets out when they break the kiss, bothbreathing hard, the heat between them spiking, promising a great night to come.
TK smiles softly, never tiring of hearing those words. “Ilove you too.”
Seriously, how do you even do first grade online? I’ve been hanging out with Miss Thang and she’s showing me all her zoom stuff for the year, but I can’t even imagine trying to communicate with her online. Like, mad props, babe, seriously.
it’s about 700x harder and more exhausting than actually having them in class and tbh i have no clue how i’m doing it. or if i’m doing it well. we’re all just kinda surviving over here.
ooh, prompt 12 for buddie, please!
Prompt: “I feel sick…so anxious and sick and like my heart is trying to beat its way out of my chest.”
Yes, I know, it’s been 84 years... anyway, here, have some pre-wedding jitters and champagne fluffiness
Something dumb to do
Finding themselves alone for the first time in hours feels like such a treat for Buck and Eddie. They pick up one champagne flute each and Eddie clashes them together. “Hey.”
“Hey.” Buck beams at him.
“You’re here,” Eddie says as he places a hand on Buck’s waist. The feel of the soft fabric helps calm him down for a minute. He sips on his drink and gives Buck a chaste kiss on the lips.
“Yes, and you are here with me.”
“Always.” The bubbles from the champagne are already traveling up to Eddie’s brain. But he still feels his heart beating erratically and he downs his champagne in one big gulp. “I feel sick…so anxious and sick and like my heart is trying to beat its way out of my chest.”
“God, how much have you had to drink already?”
“Evan Buckley, you shut your mouth, and respect your elders.”
“Right, Elder Diaz,” Buck kisses Eddie’s cheek, “I’m so deeply profoundly sorry. Whatever can I do to fix this shameful affront?”
“Maybe marry me?”
“Right, I thought that was what we were doing all along.”
“Don’t try to be funny, Buck, I think I might actually throw up.”
“Come on,” Buck fills Eddie’s flute with more champagne, “drown your sorrows in champagne.”
“Are you trying to get me all drunk to have your way with me?” Eddie gulps his second drink and waves the flute in front of Buck’s face. “More.”
“First of all, I think your sisters already gave you enough alcohol to get a whole army drunk. And second, my dearest, both you and I know that getting you drunk? That is not required for me to have my way with you.” Buck fills both their champagnes flutes. “Last one, for the ride.”
“Ok, so, we’re doing this?” Eddie sips on his drink and finally the nausea retreats and he feels his whole body relax.
“Dude, I thought you were on board with this whole situation, since, you know, we already did get married. This is just a party.” Buck chuckles and lets go of Eddie. “You know what that is, right? Like they are supposed to be all fun and shit.”
"I love you." Eddie pouts and blinks slowly. “I still have a right to be nervous.”
“Don’t give me that look.“ Buck walks to the car waiting for them and reaches for Eddie’s hand. “Come on, let’s go.”
“Right, time to face the music.”
Buck snorts. “Yes, husband, time to face the music.”

Take Me Out
They find their seats on the lower level behind home plate. They’re excellent seats, probably cost an arm and a leg. Eddie settles into his seat, and Buck’s bicep invades his space. Buck notices, becomes self conscious, and Eddie feels the loss as he moves away, only to feel a flare of awareness when Buck leans back, letting his long arm stretch across Eddie’s shoulders.
“Is that better?” Buck asks, innocently. He can’t possibly know what he’s doing can he? It takes everything Eddie has not to curl into him, wishing his fingers would play with the hair at the nape of his neck, and wonders what his short fingernails would feel like against his scalp.

Suddenly I can’t think of three things about myself haha. But let’s see...
1. I’m not a big fan of chocolate, unless it’s white chocolate.
2. I’ve been considering moving back to Illinois after I’m done with nursing school. This pandemic has shown me that I don’t want to be this far away from my friends and family for this long again.
3. I recently started working on some original fiction, which I’m pretty excited about even if it never sees the light of day.
