First Blog, First Exhibition!

In February myself and my classmates held our very own first exhibition in King Street Gallery in Carmarthen. There was an excellent variety of work displayed and our opening evening was a huge success with our guest speaker Kris from Carmarthen Camera store.

With my exhibition work I had chosen a few different genres to display from Nature to Portraiture.I wanted to show the different varieties of images that I am able to produce.

My favourite image was the portrait of my nan.I took this image last year for a project I was working on in the first semester.I ask my nan if she would be willing to be my model and she jumped at the idea and couldn’t wait to be apart of something.She was a happy lady who loved to do a weekly shop and buy her TV magazine and read all about the TV soaps and the gossip about Prince Harry and Megan Markle getting married at the time.This image is an inspiration to me.

In the future I will defiantly look at producing images for more exhibitions and maybe one day Il have my own!

LOOK IT'S MY FIRST EVER EXHIBITION!!! Well, kind of. My homeroom teacher (the most awesome ever) decided to display some of my art in our class. Since they're not exactly practical, this was all we could make, but it's still a huge milestone for me!!! Can't wait tomorrow to see everyone's reaction!
