Aloha fellow bookish lovers! I've got a review for you today! First Lessons by Lina J. Potter is a Russian literature translated into English! Out now by @lithuntersph 😍 * * Synopsis: (I can only fit part of it but you can find the rest on Goodreads or Amazon) A brilliant Medical school graduate Aliya, a sporty and active girl, dies suddenly in a car crash… only to find herself reborn in a completely different body, in the middle of a dilapidated castle during Medieval times. While confused and dismayed, Aliya realizes she has been given another chance at life — so she rolls up her sleeves and gets to work on restoring her new castle and her new life. * * My Rating: 2 Stars Full Review on my blog I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! This was actually really hard for me to rate. There was nothing actually wrong with it, I just felt as though it was half a book. Liked: Strong female main character, loved how inventive she was using natural elements to make new inventions. Dislikes: That was the whole book. If that had been half the book, awesome. But I hear that is what Russian Literature is like, it's very strong world building and information. Which is great, I just wanted some action and adventure. * * Final thoughts: I'm not sure that I will continue with the series but I'm really glad I tried it out! And again, I loved seeing how she invented things! * * #firstlessons #litworld #lithunters #bookreview #russianliterature #russian #medievalbooks #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #flatlay #bookishflatlay #bookreviewer #bookobsessed #timetravel #fantasy https://www.instagram.com/p/BoKYP6OFk5N/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=6jhzh567xyhm
