I generally either go to Aquarium One or Congressional Aquarium (not that I usually need fish stuff--but now I do! But I would got here to look, and a few years ago I had guppies and danios and tetras and cories (not all at once, but still in entirely too small a tank, I fully admit now that I had no idea what I was doing and looking back it makes me sad. In the future I would love to have some guppies and cories again, in a proper habitat. Cories are like my favorite aquarium fish ever)). But I would still go to browse and look at fish (and reptiles--Conressional had a reptile room too, and I would stalk it for cresties at times) after work at the pet store and stuff, for funsies.

Anyways, both those stores WERE in Rockville, MD--Congressional, which still is, is huge and has a huge selection, and the guys there seem pretty knowledgeable. But their prices are pretty high, and I didn't find them to be the friendliest ever--not rude or anything, just... you know. Not the best.

I would always try to go to Aquarium one if I could, back when I was still buying fish, because they were cheaper and super friendly and helpful. But they were way smaller and almost all saltwater--they had like four freshwater tanks (but obviously those had guppies and cories haha...). But they're moving! To like the same distance on the opposite side of me lol--they're opening a new, bigger store in Frederick, and I'm really excited to check it out but it's not going to be open for a few more weeks :(

SO POINT BEING the store I was referring to was Congressional, but I ended up not going because my brother's soccer practice got cancelled so I didn't have to go hang out in Rockville after all. I'll go this weekend--I heard about another one in Silver Spring (Tropical Lagoon?) so I may go check that one out, too.
