I agree! There’s so much stigma about eating horse meat, honestly I’m kind of worried about how much is getting thrown out. Sad fact is the horses are slaughtered anyway and it’s good meat and shouldn’t go to waste. And the reactions you get from people are always fun.

Kingsmoor also has the advantage of the tastes being made to be interchangeable, so switching around won’t upset her. Also the whole danish-sourced/produced and grain/gluten/rice-free deal. I want to try it. Alternatives are Orijen and Acana.

Wow :/ do you think there’s any way you can contact other puppies from his litter? I’m curious to see how they’re doing and how their owners have managed them

Well, the place we got him from was a "service dog organization" but it turned out to be a dude that trained police/search and rescue dogs and decided to try service dogs. He literally abused these dogs during training so we left asap. We went to one training class and one dog seemed a bit aggressive, one was TERRIFIED of everything, and the rest were okay. The owners had no idea about dog ownership and none had even taken them to the vet (they were 15 weeks at this point). 

I have no interest in talking to the guy but I think contacting the owners would do even less good :/ I'd love to know. One therapist of ours has worked with families that have dogs from there and most keep them crated in the basement or ignore them completely. Like... I'd love to report the place but really they are just teaching the owners how to abuse the dogs, so he really isn't "doing" anything wrong. I did watch him smack a dog HARD in the face though.

I was so concerned in making sure I got to keep Henry that I didn't push anything. The guy has my address and knows we still have Henry, so I don't want to stir up the pot. I'd bet money that all those dogs are severely fucked up tho :(
