About the Fishcourse

I’m going to try clearing up some misconceptions/misinformation being spread around, hit up this blog if there are any questions you would like to ask about the Fishcord regarding the discourse.

The Fishcord is a discord server made by i-am-a-fish. Regardless of how tasteless/humourless his posts are, it does not mean that anybody should attack his community.

The event catching everyone’s attention is a raid that occurred due to miscommunication. As far as I am aware, one person posted a screenshot about the Fishcord that was taken out of context. This led to many uninformed individuals to join and start a discourse, both on Tumblr and on the Fishcord itself.

To clarify, the fishcord as a whole does not support MAPs, paedophilia, racism, the thing named ‘reverse racism’ or the thing termed ‘heterophobia’. There is no text channel dedicated to suicide baiting either. The bot José has a profile picture that stirred controversy but its source does not have anything to do with paedophilia, only the artist.

One screenshot claiming to prove that racism is allowed is the one showing a user talking about the Gorillaz, which is not racist. The user is just a weeaboo. Another one shows a screenshot of a mod who made a comment about white people, which is taken out of context. Most of the users do not believe in ‘reverse racism’, ‘cisphobia’ or ‘heterophobia’, though they are aware that Tumblr extremists have those beliefs. This is a link directly from the Fishcord detailing the use of all the text channels. They do not have a suicide baiting text channel.

The mod team is diverse, including trans guys, trans girls, bi/pan individuals, POC, cishets, and non-binaries,
