This is also because i *somehow* keep/maintain a breeding population of loaches and i kinda wanna start watching the variations and interbreeding a little more closely so i know if i'm accidentally creating hybrids and if so what kinds etc

I don't know if fish sleep! I know sharks don't! But maybe they day dream about fishy things like when the current hits just right 👌
Man. It just hit me, whilst reading chapter 26 of @omgmussimm 's wonderous human AU Clementine -- (fuck yeah, just go read it! And sorry if a thousand others already had this epiphany) one of reasons so many of us have lost our minds for Good Omens is because a lot of us are middle age people who read the book in our lighthearted earlier days. Late teens, 20s, 30s... before the world thrust us into the jaded midlife where we are all to have our crisis. But, well, it can be good, too. We can be happy. We can reflect on where we are and who we are or are not with - who we left behind and who we purposely chose to keep in our lives and feel good. So good! Blessed.

Hngg how did “finding inner peace” lead me here, I can’t even drive straight without anxiety kicking me in the gut.
I have a big fish tank now. 29 gallon is cycling as of last night and tomorrow I’m getting all the decorations for it.
pls know this means i have two 5 gallons, one 10 gal, and eventually the one 30 gal
So with the start of another $1/Gallon Sale
I was going to get a 50 gallon but I’m poor so I’m going to get a 30 gallon tank on Thursday. Right now my two bettas, each in their own 5 gallons, have fin rot and they’ve started treatment today. While gramps is okay with me getting a bigger tank he’s not okay with having all three running, so once the treatment is done I’ll move the two guys over into the new tank with a divider.
I think I might downsize Warden’s tank to a 5 gal when I move. I’m going to be taking care of my grandpa while looking for another job, so I’ll be living with him in the meantime. I don’t want to take up his space but I do want my fish with me (my dad said he’d flush them - whether they’re alive or dead - if they were to stay at home) and I have a back up 5 gal just in case something sprang a leak. So instead of taking a 5 gal and a 10 gal, I’ll just take two 5 gals and buy a large stand.
