Walking on a sleeping leg
Honestly, the way I sit, I think I can be called a master of walking with a sleeping leg. Because more often then not, the way I sit makes usually one of my legs fall asleep, it’s rare that both fall asleep, but when that happens I do shake them out to wake them up, because a sleeping leg is like a limp noodle and no one can walk on two limp noodles, no. If someone tries to walk while both legs are asleep, then the will fall to the floor.
But that’s not why I’m writing this. I’m writing this because I failed at walking a few days ago and I felt it was funny enough to post it even though I’d actually rather no one ever know it happen.
I was sitting on my bed on the computer and scrolling through Tumblr and I decided I wanted tea. I moved everything off of my lap to get up. I stood up but I had put too much weight on my sleeping leg.. Apparently I hadn’t moved the blanket enough but I hadn’t know until I noticed that my foot was also tangled in the thick comforter. After I freed my foot I tried many times to stand up but every attempt failed. I had even tried scaling my nearby dresser. Looking back on it I feel like I was similar to a fish trying to walk on land. I flopped around the floor incapable of standing for a about a solid minute before my leg woke up and I was able to stand. My foot aching from the flopping and sudden movements that had been cause from it’s lack of mobility.
But I did finally get to have my tea in the end. (I literally only wrote this last line because it somehow felt unfinished without it. Maybe I can rewrite this and make it better in the future but until that most likely imaginary day this will do.)
