Sometimes I think about Grant Wilson and I get so fricking sad, man...
Like, imagine you're a twelve-year-old boy and you've not only outed yourself to your very Catholic father but also all the dads of your friends/peers. Thankfully, your father is accepting of you but he also can't seem to keep this information on the down-low which just hurts you so much socially because, of course, you're a twelve-old boy. Then, you go through an incredibly traumatic experience (directly due to your father's poor choices), as well as what very well may be your first rejection, and, suddenly you can't feel anything properly anymore. The only person you can go to for support is your father. He tells you that what makes him feel better is his wife, your mother. He's well-intentioned but because you're twelve, traumatized, and newly outed, you don't see this; instead, you just feel like an outlier. After this, you just get more and more thrown at you but you're not emotionally equipped to deal with all of it because, again, you're twelve years old.
Flash-forward however many years later, you have a husband and son who love you unconditionally. You know you love them back and you try your hardest to be the absolute best you can be for them but trauma works in strange ways so you feel as though you don't deserve it. You're not worthy of being loved because you're the worst person in the world and all you do is harm. You try your best to obtain this impossible standard you've set for yourself but you can't so you push everyone else away until you can be that person you're never going to be able to be.
You tell yourself you've moved on, you should have moved on, but the truth is you've never really gotten past what happened to you when you were twelve years old.
I love Watermechhhhhh, I love that neither of them know how to properly interact with people but it manifests in very different ways <3 <3 <3

Rating Band Names Based on How Easily They Could Defeat Me in Battle
Foo Fighters: 5/10 - They are explicitly stated to be fighters so they obviously would have some sort of skill in battle but I am not a ‘foo’ (as far as I know) so I don’t know how effective that skill would be.
Glass Animals: 2/10 - This one is very case-dependent on the size of the animals; if they are standard decorative glass animal size, this would be an easy win. However, if they are actual animal size, that may be a different story…
They Might Be Giants: ???/10 - This is very dependent on whether they are giants or not.
Red Hot Chili Peppers: 2/10 - They could only do damage to me if ingested.
Barenaked Ladies: 9/10 - There’s more of them than there are of me and I’m also not immune to women.
Twenty One Pilots: 8/10 - I’m outnumbered 21 to 1 and I feel like a fully trained pilot could be capable of doing better in battle than I would…
The Killers: 10/10 - They are literally killers!!!!
The Mountain Goats: 7/10 - Goats could definitely deal some damage but I think I would be capable of possibly outsmarting them…
The Talking Heads: 4/10 - They are only heads so they would do less damage than if they were whole bodies.
Train: 10/10 - Instant kill.
Guns and Roses: 9/10 - The guns would be dealing most of the damage here…
The Cranberries: 1/10 - There is almost no way cranberries will be able to fight back against my attacks!!
The Living Tombstone: 3/10 - This is very dependent on the capabilities of the tombstone…
The Wallflowers: 1/10 if referring to literal flowers, 6/10 if referring to a group of people
Rage Against The Machine: 1/10 - This is an abstract concept, not something tangible that can be battled (and I also tend to work against the machine so this could be solved with words)!
10000 Maniacs: 10/10 - No way I’m winning that one, I’m SORELY outnumbered!!!
