Something you did this year that made me smile... :O can't think of anything, I mean, I never smile when I talk to you, and I also don't have what the hubby calls my 'Lily smile', and you were not the person that got me to watch my favorite show ever and... yeah :D
Lilyyyyyyyy you're my soulmate and even if you don't like peanut butter and sleep with socks on everything you do makes me smile and I love you and I'm so happy you signed up on this wonderful hellsite a year ago because that led to us becoming friends, and that means so much to me now mon love ♥♥♥
*sniffles* I'm not crying or smiling my Océane-smile, YOU are!! But, yes, mon love, I do know what you like ;) LOLS and it's an, uh, triple drabble instead of just a drabble, because c'mon, when have either of us ever had any self-control? 😝 Fitzsimmons bbys, with a Frozen title because how could I resist - here we come!
we finish each other's (sandwiches!) - a Fitzsimmons triple drabble
"Fitz?" There was undisguised horror in Jemma's voice. "What are you eating?"
Fitz froze mid-bite, looking down at his sandwich as though it had suddenly transformed into a giant tarantula. When it appeared that it was, in fact, still a sandwich, he lowered it cautiously to the plate and squinted at her. "A… sandwich? You were gone, so Daisy made one for me."
Jemma's heart didn't skip at that, it didn't. Just because sandwiches were her and Fitz's thing didn't mean he should have to starve himself while she was out. And it certainly didn't mean she was jealous, or anything like that. That would imply having more than just friendly feelings toward him, and, obviously, that wasn't true. Right?
Of course. Clearly, all that was at play here was her perfectly natural horror over the abomination currently in her best friend's hand.
"It has," she pointed out in a tone of abject horror, "peanut butter on it. And jam."
Fitz looked at it, his brow furrowing in utter confusion. "... Yeah?"
"How can you be eating that?!" she burst out, appalled.
He managed to look both sheepish and confused. "It's, um, quite good, actually."
Well, that just wouldn't do.
Snatching the sandwich out of his hand, Jemma briskly dropped it into the dustbin, ignoring his scandalised gasp. Then, while he was still mournfully looking at the empty plate where a sandwich had once been, she crossed over to the fridge and pulled out the mozzarella, the prosciutto, and, of course, her little jar of homemade pesto aioli.
Fitz was smiling by the time she turned around, his eyes full of a rare softness as he looked at her. "Thank you," he said sincerely when she handed him the sandwich. "You're the best."
Then he took a bite and moaned, his eyes actually rolling back into his head with pleasure, and Jemma couldn't help the grin that dimpled her cheeks, and with it, confusingly, a rather bright blush.
But as Fitz would say - whatever. This was much more like it.
