CLIFFY MY BOYYYY
Which song fucks you up more?
Heaven Knows
Agoraphobia
Heaven Knows (Five For Fighting)
Tell me where the good men go/Before I wash away/Walk me down the old brick road/So I can die where I meet you/Hold me like we're going home/And turn your tears to rain/Bury me, beautiful/Heaven knows how I loved you
"It only feels right to share the way I first heard this song, so Riordanverse art video you get <3 I've always loved how sweet this song is, it's so comforting and gentle despite being a goodbye (interestingly not his only song about like. Being about to die). It's achingly bittersweet and god his voice. The piano always gets me."
Agoraphobia (Autoheart)
I am dented by the skies/They keep me up at night/And it's not agoraphobia/It's just a lack of air supply/That keeps me up at night
"I don’t have agoraphobia personally, but a lot of this song still speaks to me. It almost feels resigned in a way, and its kinda quiet, but the vocals are really nice to listen to"
Thursday Friday Bangers
I'm taking it upon myself to take over this week, since I really love this game and I don't want it to fall off. Here are @woundedsoul12's original rules:
Rules: Free from a blurb or drawing based on the weekly lyrics prompt. It doesn't have to include the prompt just whatever you're inspired to write, write it! Then tag some friends so they can play as well. It doesn't have to be finished on Thursday just post it whenever you can (you have a whole week between Thursdays).
This week's prompt is from Five For Fighting's Superman (It's Not Easy)
I may be disturbed but won’t you concede Even heroes have the right to dream
________
This kind of got away from me a bit; it's odd writing to this song for my Hawke, when I originally used it for my Surana's fanmix, but it's something I think I can rework later into something better.
Amaranthine. Lothering. Kirkwall. South Reach. Every time Ria found a home, it was ripped from her. Amaranthine was lost when a templar got too close to Bethany. Ria never meant to kill the bastard, she just wanted to scare him off. Away from her Bethikins. But the fight became all too real, all too quickly. The Hawke family fled their home the next day. Ria was seventeen. They settled in Lothering, and life was good for a while. Ria and Carver worked here and there with the Blackstones, Bethany practiced with Father, and Mother was, well, she was Mother. The Hawkes had each other. They had a home. Then Father died, and a year later the Fifth Blight hit. The ogre killed Carver, but Ria, Bethany, and their mother escaped to Kirkwall. Ria was twenty-five. Kirkwall… Everyone knows about Kirkwall. A few people even know the truth. It was the first home Ria actually made for herself, and over the years she made a name for herself within the city. It was her city. But the city took from her, as well. It took Bethany, and it took Mother. For a while, she worried that it would take Anders from her as well. Eventually, the city collapsed under its own weight. Others would say it was Anders’ fault, but in spite of everything Ria never blamed him, even if she did lose the home she’d worked so hard for. Ria was thirty-two. Then the sky opened, and by the time it closed again Ria and Anders finally made a home for themselves in South Reach. They had each other, and the dog, and a small army of mousers. They were happy. Then Anders started having his nightmares, and then the first darkspawn were sighted. It was the beginning of what would be called the Final Blight. Ria was forty-seven. All she ever wanted was a home.
And now, who to tag?
@becausedragonage @avoskorm @runawaydragons @feralkwe @pixiedurango @mythals-whore @hedwigoprah @thedissonantverses and anyone else who sees this!
