i cannot believe they fucking tagged her in the post lmao i’m willing to bet no one even knew what boot company she used until they posted that

RIGHT like it blows my mind, literally any skating fan could tell you that at elite levels, even the highest-profile boot brands like edea and jackson suffer wear and tear and even just fluke problems. especially with the intense stress they’re likely to have been putting them through at the olympics. literally my only thought was “what bad luck for karen” and nothing about the boot company, which she has praised in her autobiography. 

most fans probably had no clue what boots she wears. other people “in the know” enough to recognize her supplier probably already wear their own brand or have their own experiences/opinions already formed. but whatever reflection karen left on her boots by making an instagram post in the heat of high stress (which i hold was still absolutely nothing negative, not to mention she's an extremely shy teenager with no media training, one who’s notorious both for boot issues bc of her feet and for her nerves/inconsistency) has been completely overridden by the pure unprofessionalism in that post. it was made by an adult, a business owner, with the clear intent of hurting and humiliating a literal teenager. a TEENAGER. 

will marrillo and anyone defending him and avanta boots after this should be fucking ashamed and i absolutely hope they lose business.

the judges are ready to replace zhenya for alina for sure, but i think eteri’s face at the end of the event speaks volumes. she did not look happy

yeah i was just noticing this. eteri makes a gesture w her hand when those scores come up that’s like “come ON.” she looks displeased with the scores -- not with zhenya at all, with the judging. and i can’t believe i’m saying i agree w eteri but ,,, you’re right, she didn’t look pleased, and she actually looked really sympathetic with evgenia. like i felt like eteri was legitimately trying to comfort her, which i’m... really glad to see. it doesn’t make me trust eteri any more, but that bit of sympathy and apparent incredulity at zhenya’s score was nice to see when i think evgenia needed it.

on the bright side, the crowd was really, really there for evgenia too, and i’m glad. she deserves to be loved, especially bc she was clearly upset but trying so hard to keep it in.

Who likes this movie and why? This just made me depressed and not in the good way where I'm depressed because of how sad it is and how much I love the characters. They do everything they can to be together but something messed up happens anyway. Depressed because of frustration because all this was easily avoidable and they couldve been together but no this dude had to like ghost this bitch idk #fivecentimeterspersecond #anime #animemovies
