Gravity and levity, compression and tension When #walking - how much of our experience, which is mostly unconscious, is governed by the reflexes of the feet? And pronation and supination? How much of the experience is the appropriate movement and strength of the proverbial “core”?? Of course, my answer is both, but recently, I have been rechecking my beliefs, and realized I was overly foot focused. (Healthy foot and cranial fixations 😅) Reflexes of the feet are powerful and communicate a highway of information to the low back and then the brain. (shoes are sensory deprivation chambers) However, the feet are fascially connected to the cranium, and the entire body of course, and gait becomes a symphony of full body management of weight from one foot to the other. The ability to balance and gracefully transfer this weight is incredibly important. Otherwise, there’s a sense of falling from one foot to the other and that can create a sense of lack of safety and on down the rabbit hole we could go. #spiralengineoflocomotion #spiralengine #fiveprimarykineticchains #gaittraining #gaitanalysis #gait #walkingmeditation #walkingismytherapy #walkingisgood #fascia #fascialnet #fascialtraining #myofascial #deeplongitudinalsystem #adaptablepolarity #anatomyart #anatomyartwork #humananatomy #anatomyofgait #humananatomyart https://www.instagram.com/p/Co-Ojj-rCZL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
