I have important wisdom to impart and it is as follows: in the ideal les mis promare AU, enjolras would not, despite all obvious signs and reasoning to the contrary, be burnish, bc enjolras’s whole Thing is fighting for the downtrodden even though he himself is safe and privileged, and in this reality that translates to him being a regular person fighting tooth and nail for the rights and freedom of burnish people. lots of people probably think he’s burnish and expect flames to erupt from his hands when he gets particularly Impassioned at protests, and he probably, in a way, wishes he was bc then he could burn down some government buildings and really make a point, or at the very least he’d have the power to fight back and protect the burnish that are just trying to live their lives quietly but are unfortunate enough to get picked up by a thermal scanner and are promptly taken away and never seen again. but he’s not burnish so he can’t and all he can do is make a lot of noise and write angry letters and organise rallies and so that is what he will do

can u guess who IS burnish and hides it from everyone, but makes sure to tell enjolras that he needs to cut this shit out and find a better cause to fight for because the burnish are monsters, but who only thinks that because deep down he’s always felt like a monster and the flames that burst out of him one day just seemed like the proof?? and he toys with the idea of turning himself into the authorities, because that must be the right thing to do, but the thought of what they might be doing to captive burnish always makes him decide to stay in hiding, just a little longer?
