Dad!Fives who’s favourite thing is to come home to is his kids screaming through the halls to tackle him in a hug

Dad!Fives is a certified girl dad

Dad!Fives never shuts up about his kids and how they are even if it’s the most minuscule thing they've done, it's the most important thing to him

Dad!Fives may be a fun dad who's not overtly strict but he puts his foot down when his kids aren't following basic house rules or not listening to his instructions

Dad!Fives when his first child was born he could not let them go. He was sure his tears were dampening their tiny beanie but he can't help it

Dad!Fives is secure in his masculinity that wearing bow clips or a bright pink backpack doesn't phase him in the slightest

Dad!Fives gets very sentimental about his kids growing up. He wants them to do more in life but he can't keep himself from calling them his babies

Dad!Fives when handling attitude doesn't yell. He folds his arms to physically show he's disappointed and will talk to them in his serious voice that they know he means business, that they need to be quiet and listen

Dad!Fives who cheers the loudest in the crowd at any performance or sporting event his kids are in as well as award ceremonies. When they meet up with him, they're getting the tightest hug and many kisses on their faces. He doesn't care if he's embarrassing them :p

Boil Echo Fives and Wolffe reacting to their s/o who's never been kissed before thanks 💖

Boil: He doesn’t make a deal of it one way or another. He’s not really had any experience either but he doesn’t over think it and just goes in for the kiss- though slowly because even if this wasn’t your first kiss he believes in giving you time to pull away

Echo: It made the lil pup nervous. He’s never been kissed either and he had a mindset that you deserved someone more experienced for your first kiss. he tries to express this but when you tell him you want him to be your first kiss he’s a blushy ecstatic mess

Fives: Takes it pretty seriously. He wants your first kiss to be perfect and he’s now made it a matter of personal pride that you trusting him with your first kiss is not a waste. On the other hand he kinda can’t wait to kiss you so the kiss is a tad hasty but still amazing.

Wolffe: Would back off. He interprets you confiding this to him as your way of saying that the first kiss will be initiated by you on your terms. He doesn’t want to rush or make you think it’s a big deal to him. Eventually you’ll just have to grab and kiss him. He’s pretty happy you were his first too.

Domino Twins Headcanons Part Three

Here's Part One and Two

Jesse, one day, goes "you know, it's kinda funny how Echo apparently copied everything because I heard with nat-borns it's usually the younger sibling that copies everything the older one does" to Fives (where he heard that idk)

Fives is just like "uh, no, I'm the older twin" to which Jesse replies "hmm sounds like something a little brother would say" and Fives just grumbles

The thing is! Jesse is technically right but neither of them know it

Show affection by beating each other up to a degree. Started a bit as cadets but it got rougher once they became ARCs because they knew the other could handle it

This leads to some interesting explanations in the medbay, such as "he tackled me but I saw it coming so I braced myself but in doing so forgot my knee was sore and I think it's sprained now" and "my elbow got stuck between the ARC pauldron and his shoulder and it dislocated when we got it unstuck" and other things that are the reason Kix has so many headaches

Everyone thought Fives started it every time because he also did it to them until Echo tackled an unsuspecting Fives to the ground in the middle of the mess, then got up and got his food like it was no big deal, leaving Fives on the ground

Needless to say, quite a few people had to change their perception of the Legion's ARCs after that

Eavesdropping on them doesn't end in finding out useful information. They jump around so much because they understand each other so well, plus all the inside jokes and shared missions they've had makes it impossible to piece together besides for, like, Rex

Basically, no matter what they're doing, there's a 90% chance a shiny or two are looking on, confused, while the veterans cackle

Kix and the other medics play a game called "where have the twins fallen asleep after ARC missions instead of reporting to the medbay?"

(They've been found almost everywhere on the ship, including a corner of the bridge without anyone noticing)

Sometimes Echo accidentally mimicks Cutup's accent when quoting something he said, which throws off everyone but Fives because they never got to meet him oh no I just made myself sad about Cutup again

Echo doesn't realize he does it

When Torrent has giant cuddle piles, even if they start on opposite sides, they wake up next to each other (a foot in a face, actually side by side, stretched across five people and the other just so happens to be one of them, etc)

Nobody knows how it happens, only that it always happens. Fives and Echo say they're asleep the whole time so they don't know either. Jesse and Hardcase tried to stay awake once to figure it out but both succumbed to the snuggles before they could

Domino Twins Headcanons Part Two

Since everyone loved the first one so much, here's more!

So, I've seen a lot of Echo characterization where he's the quiet one, which I get, and also a recent surge of chatterbox Echo, but! I actually see him as more somewhere in between/a mix of these two

He can be quiet when he wants (sometimes it's just easier mentally (like when thinking through a problem or strategy etc), emotionally, or because everyone else is talking to be silent) but not all the time

A lot more talkative around those he's comfortable with, so like Domino and especially Fives and eventually Rex and some of the 501st. Not to say he doesn't talk around others, just that suddenly he can't stop talking around the above list

Sometimes this includes people he's just met that he knows he'll grow to trust (gut-instinct kind of situation) but can't really otherwise explain why he just word-vomits around them. Time always tells successfully, though. It's odd but it's a reoccurring Thing so he just lets it happen

Fives knows how much he can trust someone right away based on how much Echo talks. He's got his own gut-instincts, of course, but watching Echo's reactions helps him know he's probably on the right track

Actually more talkative than Fives when they were little (stems from Echo repeating what Fives wanted to say, as per Part One) but as they grow up it becomes more equal. Echo talks more around people they trust and Fives just talks more in general than he did as a young cadet

Fives eventually gets good enough at telling when Echo just. doesn't feel like talking and will take over

Sometimes this transition involves them talking in unison (again, like stated in Part One)

Echo used to do the same with Fives as cadets and they don't fail to see the irony in it

Once some of the 501st who knew the twins well tried to figure out which one talked more by observing them for a week and discovered they couldn't actually figure it out

Can have crazy-fast conversations in ARC/Clone/Whatever-the-fudge-it-is-they-use sign. Almost to the point where their hands look like blurs. Don't notice until someone points it out to them because they understood everything the other was signing

This also confuses many a battalion they work with on ARC missions because they just can't keep up

Sometimes someone will go "wait a minute, are you twins?" to which they respond "maybe" in unison

As ARCs, they get a lot of star-struck shinies interacting with them. They like to use it to their advantage and mess with them when the opportunity arises

Hi! I love your Domino Twin headcanons! I was wondering if you have any post-Echo's "death" ones for some angst?

Ah, I have actually have an idea for a fic that addresses this a bit but that won't be out for a while, so absolutely! This is basically me just transferring it here from my Google doc lol. Also includes some bits that I had in my Ghost!Domino fic Nu Kyr'adyc

On Fives' end of the Situation

Directly after the Citadel, Fives wanders off into the ship, not talking. He isn't where anyone expects him to be, but Rex eventually finds him and comforts him

Torrent takes extra efforts to look out for him in the following weeks, Rex even somehow convincing Command to let him stay with them longer than initially planned and they just let him take the time he needed that wouldn't be given once Command finally forced him back into the field

Torrent tried to cuddle pile their way through his and their own grief, but when Fives woke up the next morning and Echo wasn't next to him, he broke down and broke all their and my hearts even more

Even through the Chip Arc, Fives finds himself turning to reference a past ARC mission or inside joke with Echo only for him to not be there

One thing I've noticed is Echo always stands to Fives right in the episodes. Following his 'death', Fives starts standing to people's right and subtly adjusts so they're always to his left instead

It takes a while for Fives to get used to having to explain everything he's thinking because Echo isn't there to make the same jumps/finish his sentences for him

Adds Echo to the little memorial for Domino :(

The datapad he ends up using afterward is actually Echo's that had been left in the ARC barracks during the mission because of the upgrades he had added to it

Either gets a tattoo or paints a part of the inside of his armor or both in memory of Echo

Echo's end of the Situation

When actually lucid enough to think properly when under Tambor's "care", he mainly hoped Fives got out alive rather than get mad for leaving him behind. They were ARCs, they understood sometimes the mission came before Rule Number One for them

Used memories of Fives and the 501st and Domino to help him get through the, uh, physical side of torture he was put through. Couldn't quite do that with the mental side, though :(

Knew right away that Fives was dead when Rex + the Bad Batch rescued him because there's no other reason he wouldn't have been there

Starts to find himself standing to the left of people instead of the right

Keeps interrupting his brothers when talking because he knows where they're going with it, especially with Tech when they're planning (reactions are various mixes of understanding why he's doing it and upset because they don't)

Ends up huffing to himself a lot when he thinks of a reference Fives would get but doesn't want to draw attention to himself and have to explain

Finds the Domino memorial between being rescued and joining the Bad Batch only to find someone else maybe Rex found it and added Fives and has to take himself off

Has! So many Issues! even without dealing with losing his twin so he tries to push it aside but it builds and bites him in the back every once in a while and he has to take a day or two to focus on it

Someone give him a hug, please, he needs it
