______
I huff, sitting on the couch I had been sitting on for almost a week. Morning ’til night. I had to admit, with Luke gone, life was really boring. He left with Ashton, Michael and Calum to go to France. The four of them where working on a couple songs for a new album.
He was busy. So that’s why he wasn’t responding to all of my texts and calls. I think. It wasn’t doing me any good if all I did all day was await his arrival. That was a week away. I get up with a small sigh and make make my way to my bedroom, then into my ensuite bathroom.
Half way into my shower, my doorbell starts to ring. I groan loudly and stop the shower, wrapping a towel around my body once I step out. I walk out of my room and go downstairs. Then when I reach the door, I open it up.
Luke stood with a soft smile to his lips, his hand holding a bouquet of both white and red roses with a couple lavenders in the mix.
“Hi wifey.”
He steps close to me, planting a kiss to my cheek and then to my forehead as his right hand holds my left on, his thumb grazing over my wedding right.
“I thought you were in France?"
“And I thought you’d have more common sense, ma. I could’ve been an old kidnapper.”
I roll my eyes but I knew he was right. I was standing in just a towel. In the moment, I was too annoyed to care. I step aside and let Luke into our shared home, taking the flowers from his hand.
“These are pretty.”
“The guys and I found this place that sold some fresh flowers so I picked up your favourites. How’s Petunia been?”
I smile softly.
“She’s been great, as always. Keeping me safe at night and whatnot. She misses her dad though.”
Luke chuckles. He knows of the sucker his bulldog could be. Because she’s a rescue dog and he was at a bad time in his life when he got her, he likes to say they saved each other. He’s not wrong.
“Anyway,” He blurts out “Get dressed, I wanna go on a drive.”
“Where?”
I ask him, my eyebrows furrowing curiously.
‘It’s a surprise, woman, go get dressed.”
He smirks and rushes me with a gentle pat of my butt. I chuckle and walk upstairs. As I get dressed, I cant help but smile, fully realising my days of boredom where over. Luke was home.
I rush downstairs, dressed in a light brown, oversized, asymmetrical shirt with a black mini skirt and some black and white Converse, high top chucks, to match Luke’s.
“God, you’re absolutely ravishing..”
Luke says as he stands at the bottom of the staircase. I smile and lean up to give his cheek a kiss. He smiles back at me and kisses my forehead before he moves over to the front door, opening it up for me.
‘Ladies first..”
