I decided to try getting the hang of a fixed camera angle game and what better one to try than RE0, right? I kept getting poor Rebecca slapped around because I couldn't figure out how to aim with no reticle or ability to, you know, see what I was aiming at very well. I finally persevered, though! 'Cause, well, I'm playing on Easy, lol. 🦂😉
Resident Evil Zero was originally released in 2002 and the Remaster (which this is) in 2016. I have to say, even though it's not what I'm used to, there's an absolute charm to it, especially in the door and ladder sequences that originally were hiding the loading for the next area. I love being able to switch at will between Rebecca and Billy, also!
Wouldn't recommend it as your very first Resident Evil game but if you've enjoyed any of the more modern ones, I definitely recommend coming back to an early entry like this one, just to experience it! 💖💖💖
