Partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus | November 19, 2021
Eclipse energy is transformative, powerful; they mark a shift and a jump forward. We seem to get a glimpse of our future, a taste of what is to come. We also have the Full Moon's energy; we are closing a chapter. This is what is awaiting us on November 19 during the partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus; the conclusion of a difficult challenge and the preview of something bigger coming very soon.
Taurus is a sign preoccupied with having and keeping resources. It's an earth sign interested in the tangible things we can see and touch. Taurus is connected to nature, and with the disturbing conjunction to the fixed star Algol (one of the most malefic stars in the sky), I feel like something might happen regarding the environment. It could be secret dealings of a government that'll be exposed or a natural catastrophe that will create panic and anxiety for a lot of people. The Saturn-Uranus square and the Mars-Uranus opposition create a lot of frustration; the energy is explosive and bottled up. Explosions, earthquakes, structures collapsing, major strikes affecting resources could be themes surrounding this eclipse.
An exaggeration of the truth could make headlines with the Mercury-Jupiter square. Something is not as spectacular or grand as it is said to be; a powerful authority figure feels overly confident about an important issue.
On a more individual level, we might feel extremely frustrated with current events and seek to break free (Mars-Uranus opposition). We desire comfort and stability more than ever (Moon in Taurus), and some might nurture themselves by overindulging under this eclipse. Our perception is refined and we are more empathic with the Mercury-Neptune trine, and for some authority figures (Venus in Capricorn) sudden windfalls will solve all their problems (Venus-Uranus trine).
Hello, I am studying my asteroids for possible starseed marks but can't find a site to get Karma, Atlantis, Sekhmet and other asteroids. Do you know of a site where I can obtain my aspects for those asteroids?
Astrodienst!
Astrodienst:
1. Go to the extended charts selection under horoscope drawings & data.
2. Click on +, then on +add and insert your data.
3. Change the chart style drawing and house system to fit your preferences.
4. At the aspects part, check "to all objects" because otherwise aspects to asteroids won't be included.
5. Scroll to "additional objects" and then choose your asteroid from the asteroid list. You can also type in the asteroid number in the box below it. You can search for a certain asteroid if your device allows it. It works the same for the other lists.
Bonus! when you have the chart, click on PDF and then on additional tables (free!).
It'll let you download a PDF file that looks something like this:
You can do this with every chart you make on astrodienst, also with synastry and anything else you do. You can add an orb table in the aspect section, as well. I find it super useful, especially when the chart is very busy.
Poetry: Hymn to Spica
Spica is one of the stars in the constellation of Virgo, but in the *sign* of Libra. I had a chance to renew my acquaintance a few days ago...
at 23° Libra 50′ Spica is a bright star in the constellation of Virgo, but its position on the ecliptic corresponds to a position at almost 24° Libra. It’s been associated with good harvests for more than a thousand years. A few days ago, the Sun was conjunct the star, and I had a chance to recite (again) this poem from several years ago, honoring it. O brilliant, O Bird-like Radiant…
