Wow. Day 11 of the second #30daychallenge and I am not doing as well as I had hoped :( I was really sick for a few days in the first week and allowing myself to really recuperate and heal so now here I am with only 5 days under my belt. Damn. But I’m still aiming for 60 classes in 60 days, so there will be a few doubles coming up. Anyhoo, I’ve noticed that I am continuing to get #stronger, I almost got on my elbows in #fixedfirm! yay! And I am so motivated by everyone doing the challenge. It’s really difficult and hot and and and the list goes on, but once you walk out of that room, drink some water and have a moment to accept what just happened, you start to feel a sense of accomplishment. In fact, after most classes, I ask people, see you tomorrow? And almost everyone says yes. There is just something that keeps you wanting to go back to face the mat and the heat and really to face yourself day after day and I think that this is what #bikramyoga provides in a way that can’t be had in other forms of exercise. I am finally starting to feel the difference in body. Throughout the first 30 day challenge, people kept telling me that I was losing weight, but I didn't see it or feel it and the scale only moved 5lbs. But I lost 12.8 inches and now that I’m wearing more than yoga clothes, I am really feeling the change in my clothing, especially on my upper body. I am even seeing muscle in my hamstrings and biceps; my body is changing, slowly and steadily. 💪🏾🙏🏾 So, see you tomorrow?
