Making the lamest Spider-Man Villain cool with a tiny change.

Big Wheel is truly a joke of a villain, a guy named Weele who drives a big wheel. How could you make that cool?

Imagine this

The mech is truly indestructible. The Tinkerer uses a better mech to retrieve it from the bay every time and re-sells it again and again to a new loser one-time villain who needs a giant mech but cant afford the 50 vermilion dollars for a gundam and settle for the far more affordable big wheel.

The mech is sold only on name recognition.

-Customer: The big wheel, didn't rocket racer defeat that thing?

-Tinkerer: User error, and not a scratch on it. Its famous!

The Big Wheel leaves a trail of destruction everywhere it goes and is therefore impossible to hide so the driver is always caught. The Tinkerer always uses a larger mech to recover it from the harbor or police impound to fix and re-sell later.

Defeating the Big Wheel becomes a right of passage for New York superheroes, they've all done it and young heroes just starting out always fight it dramatically and for major heroes it's the one panel annoyance that makes them late to work.

And of course everybody makes fun of the one guy who actually lost to bigwheel once (not his fault his powers fritzed out)

Which, honestly, is part of the reason why I love this project so much, I did it with Jack in 37, I'm gonna do it with Bob and Rob in 55

i find the culture of "fixing" characters annoying because 90% of the time, they're doing it for clout while ignoring any intent behind the original

I see everyone talk about headcanons n how things could be different n all types of stuff about mlp characters so I'm gonna get involved. Starlight's redemption was trash asf. I just don't understand at all how their feelings just switch up. I don't get how fast these characters can go good n forgive each other within an instant. I think Starlight's redemption would've been better if she accepted Twilight with frustration instead of sadness. She was angry, pissed off! She also hated Twilight n wanted to overpower her.. she would've never cried within Twilight's presence. Her anger would've caused more anger n frustration than sadness I feel. She saw what was gonna happen to the world, she HAD to accept unless she really wanted to end everything n everyone. That's why I feel it's should've been frustration.. especially by Twilight's lameish speech.

I also kinda hate how Starlight did what she did at the Equality Village because ONE lil pony left her behind cuz he was sent to a magic school. It would've been better to me if maybe she was the last pony to get a cutie mark in her class or even village at the time. She had friends who were blank flanks and all abandoned her once they all had their cutie marks and she didn't. Starlight could've been constantly bullied by her past friends and other ponies because of her blank flank. This would make WAY more sense as to why she thinks Cutie marks cause hatred, evil, and separation.

god i just reminded myself how much i hate those ‘i fixed your character/your art’ posts you sometimes see. like shut uppppp man. I hate that shit. You seem all high and mighty like you know better.  Imagine making a character and designing them and being like ‘this character i have put alot of effort into it’ and then some butthole on the internet is like ‘this character is ok but... what if i changed it to be less shit here you go i fixed it uwu’ and it’s like always like that like ‘i fixed it’ like it was wrong to begin with and their just doing the world a favor like i hate that shit. cut that shit out.  I wanted to look at some examples but there’s no real tag to look at to see that shit without going into certain fanbases and praying you come across one or two but like oh my god.  Just put yourself in the person who made that characters shoes and seeing that and just being like ‘... ok... i guess i know nothing’  like of course some of them are made from people who have shows or like bigger preduction things but imagine if people did that with like... every character under the sun. Just random characters or characters that belonged to people personally.  Like someone looking at your ocs and being like ‘this is great but I’m just gonna take this and fix it’ like the audacity.

Hello lovely person who helps us desperate writers in their time of need. I have a question. If you have to main characters (say twins for example) how do you make sure you don’t have a favorite in between the two. (Say you like the sister more than the brother and give her more of a personality and story arch and just leave the brother sitting in the back of your brain closet with no where to go. He doesn’t get a story because you favor the sister.) How do I prevent this from happening??

In order to help fix the problem, you have to be able to understand it.

Ask yourself these questions:

1. Why do I favor the one character over the other character?

2. If it’s their personality/lack of story arc, then why am I not giving those things to them? Is there a specific reason behind that (Laziness/difficult character to portray/etc.?)

3. Is the unfavored character even necessary to the story? If they were a major part of the plot, then it wouldn’t be as hard to ignore them. If you took them out of the story, what would change? Would it even be that different?

So, what is it about the brother character that makes you push him to the background? How can you fix that problem? Is it by sitting down and making a character chart and really developing his personality to be one that you like just as much as the other’s personality? Is it by removing him altogether from the narrative?
