The AC in my room has died. This is only its second summer (it's not yet the fall equinox) that I've had it. I'm hoping if I open it up and clean it really good I can bring it back to life. It's one of those cheaply made portable models that isn't designed to give you acess to its guts. I think they want people to trash them at the first sign of trouble. I hate that. Good thing I'm stubborn. What's the worst thing that can happen if I open it up? It breaks? It's already not working. I'm going to do surgery tonight!
