Today I met the beautiful-talented Olivia Nguyen aka FiyaBomb. I have been following her on Instagram for close to two years and to say her work is amazing would be an understatement. I wish I could tell you all the story about how I stumbled across her Art, but unfortunately I can’t recall it. What I can say is once I saw her Art I was hooked.
Her pieces bring me JOY. As an artist myself, I have a love for art with a female focus. Especially because I am all about women’s empowerment. FiyaBomb shared the meanings of two of her paintings. They’re so deep… and DOPE A.F. One of her more recent pieces meaning gave me chillssss. I found it arousing to hear what inspired her to creat it.
I was ecstatic to meet her… unfortunately about forty minutes before introducing myself… my bag… UGHHH I’m still embarrassed about this… my bag tapped one of her paintings and it SHIFTED! Not a little but a lot. YIKES! I apologized profusely. Anyway she was completely cool about it and gave me an endearing hug. We chatted and I praised her for being such a dope individual and for her dope art.
Am I corny for saying meeting her and experiencing her work up close and personal, is a blessing!? Because that’s completely how I feel. I felt like a kid in a candy store.
