I can't help but think that you planned to release the Chara Origins Comic right as you played Night In The Woods because both have very similar themes... I won't spoil the game (cause it's amazing :D), but when you get to the end, you'll know what I mean. Btw I love your Chara comic! <3

We received some non-spoilery questions so here are some non-spoilery answers!

Mod Ellipsis came up with the idea months ago. You can read her original short story that started it all here. 

When we have time, yes! It will be after Asriel has a bit more screentime.

Ellipsis and Minty are from different parts of the USA. Nacho is from Ireland.

Asriel’s height was based on this piece of sepia art here.

We estimated that Asgore is probably around 9 feet tall, not including the horns. Interestingly enough, @bananeurysms did a more precise calculation and came up with the same result!

Since Asriel's battle sprite appears a little shorter than Asgore (if they were both standing straight), his height is scaled down from there. Then, since Asriel seems to have an association with the number eight, 8' 8" seemed like a clever measurement.

Toriel is a bit shorter and Asgore is taller.

In this story, Chara fell into the Underground at age 13. “Rewrite” takes place one year later. Chara is 14 and Asriel is 16. Despite being two years older, Asriel certainly is sensitive, isn’t he?

She’s going to build one!

Nope. Chara only shaves their face. Chara isn’t hairy enough for the leg hair to be visible from these distances or this level of illustration detail. I based Chara’s hair thickness/appearance off of some real people I know. :)

Nacho: REALLY big gauntlets that make her hands look like giant claws

Minty: An impractically huge greatsword

Ellipsis: Some sort of long range magic

It’s only a LITTLE bit longer than in canon, haha~ The style is a reference to a very old doodle.

Skybox is so creative, and is paced fairly well, but I have to wonder, how long did it take you to invision Skybox as a whole? What I mean is that all the different storylines and races must've taken a while to create right, and then to put them into a story that somehow manages to swap parties a ton but not lose focus, it had to of taken ages to finalize, right? I <3 Skybox, I look forward to it every Tuesday! Keep up the amazing work Lynx! :D

It doesn’t feel like that long a time to me, but looking back on it, I think I spent about a year in the development stage before I started drawing it regularly? But that was inbetween other things, just kinda letting it grow off of ideas once I could get to it. 

But thank you very much, I’m so glad that you’re enjoying it! :D

Hey lynxgriffin, thank you. You've given me so much to look forward to every single week that it actually helps me get through school. I've thought of starting my own comic before but I don't know how to introduce it. Do you have a strategy to it because your first entrees are amazing! Thanks, fizzyphysics.

I really very happy to hear that. Starting a comic is definitely tough, but worthwhile! For how to begin it, that’s hard to say and depends on the story. In general, however, I would say avoid beginning with an exposition dump...introduce your main characters (or even your villains) quickly, let people get interested in them right away. Your characters will tell the backstory of the world for you.
