Absolutely LOVE the theory that the unique patterns everyone on Skyloft wear are their family crests, because...
...Zelda's family crest is embroidered onto the sailcloth she gives Link.
While it COULD very much just be her signing her work, it COULD ALSO be her quite literally putting her mark on Link.
