Chromesthesia, pages 27-30

WE HAVE HIT THE 30 PAGE MARK WOOHOO!!! :DD Chapter 3 is officially longer now than Ch 1 and 2 combined, and more is about to come! The plot does not really have any moments where I feel like a "to be continued" end mark would fit. Also, 1/3 of the comic is now ready!!

In the third page, Keshet's line "Mazal bueno" is Ladino (Judeo-Spanish language of Sephardic people) for "good luck"! :) equivalent to Mazel Tov in Hebrew. Except used as a good luck wish for upcoming events, while Mazel Tov is a congratulation. Keshet and Efraín are the only Jewish people in the room, so I wanted it to also feel like a special moment of connection!

ALSO THANK GOODNESS I AM FINALLY FINISHED WITH THE PAGES OF THE STAFF ROOM MEETING. As fun as it was to draw the schoolteachers goofing around and interact, I was getting tired with tinkering with the pale purple/pink gradients of the bg and trying to get the other colors to be in harmony with them XD

context in case u dont know: the artist had lost her unborn child during her last album tour, (she actually almost died) this album is processing her grief and this song especially encaptures that, honestly makes me emotional. dont know if its ur cup of tea, but the more i listen to this song specifically, the more i love it. actually all of Everybody Scream IS SO GOOD!! highly recomend to listen to it all the way through. IM GOING TO FLORENCE'S CONCERT IN MAY, WOOOH!

So actually I loved this song so much, the whole thing is beautiful. There's like so much I want to say but there was like this really awesome, slight shift from the first to the second half where it was just kinda darker or gritter somehow as she expressed more emotions and I loved it. Thank you for showing me it <3!!

I said I was gonna yap more about Chromesthesia and I'm following through!! Here's the main character- Lux, a paladin of The Prism. They're tasked with journeying across the land of Chromesthesia to The Abyss' domain, and the story revolves around said journey.

This isn't their final reference since I might still tweak some things about their design, but I'm more than happy with it as it stands right now.

So I got started on Unwound Future recently (though the process of going through it is slow unfortunately) and ahahaha oh it's gonna be fun making this man suffer >:)

Teenagers by My Chemical Romance

I have synesthesia, and I drew Teenagers by my chemical romance.

All the orange is Gerard Way's voice. The red, yellow, and pink lines with glow on the sides are the guitars. The red in the bottom middle, is the drums. No idea what the blue is or why it's there, but it's definitely important. And the two green circles are for Frank Iero don't also me why I don't know, he just gets green circles for some reason. And the yellow circles with lines at the top, is the part that sounds like those noise makers you'd find at party city or wherever.

Teenagers was the first MCR song I ever listened to, and it was also (and still is) the most intense synesthesia experience I've ever had, like could not think over top of the way the song looked, at the time I also noticed the orange and blue, which is kinda normal, a lot of time I don't see specific parts of the song unless I'm actively paying attention to the way the song looks.

I also can't believe it took me this long to draw it, like I mentioned my first time listening to it was the most intense and colourful experience I'd ever had, and yet it took me over a year to finally draw it.

The other day I was discussing my synesthesia to my family members since I had never told them that I had it, or how I perceive numbers and sounds/music. I decided to make a quick little write up thing explaining my experience with synesthesia, even though it's one of the more common types.
