So idk why but I'm thinking about the Wild Kratts movie in production and... I really really hope it isn't just a longer episode of Wild Kratts...

That's not saying Wild Kratts is bad or it's plots don't work! They do! Wild Kratts is genuinely entertaining show! But.... An hour maybe even 2 hour movie that is exactly like a normal episode doesn't work, mostly because

A as good as the show is, it gets very info dumpy and that'll get annoying

B the whole... Live action section won't work very well to be honest in a movie format

C it won't help bring in new audiences, it will literally only really work for people who already enjoy and watch the show

I'm not saying Wild Kratts can't work as a movie because it can! Especially with stuff like the creature power suits and the Tortuga! But it has to put the educational stuff to the sidelines, not competely getting rid of it of course but not focusing so hard.

And you may be asking "Blu? What PBS kids Show has had a movie that's successfully worked really well as a movie despite how educational the show is?"

Odd Squad the movie has of course,

Now for those who haven't seen it, I'm not going to summarize it because it wouldn't make sense because nothing in Odd Squad makes sense but that's the point

Odd Squad is a very math oriented show, it has ALOT of math stuff in it. Like, it is literally there to just teach kid how to count and shit on top of being a genuinely good show

Now that isn't to say there isn't still some of those math moments in the movie, because well there is, it's to say that the movie knows that it has to focus on the plot. It allows it's self to actually be a movie and not a math lesson, let the plot to the extremes that the show normally isn't normally allowed to explore!

And that's what I really want for Wild Kratts. Otherwise I think umiltately the movie will fail and that really hurts to say... In Other words, Wild Kratts the movie needs to a movie with an actual plot that builds upon established things in the show first and a zoology lesson second.
