★ The Sixfinger'd Scrimshander is a 11,006 year old time-blind and also visually-blind disabled alien Licentiate prone to bouts of psychosis and starvation-fueled rampages. It is occasionally a 13 ft tall freakass monster. Earnest as it is annoying, its memory is highly context dependant. It can play the banjo, do small home repair, competantly design but NOT operate a zubmarine, and create elaborate sculpture. Non-monogamous.

☆ The Sixfingered Scrimshander is a 30 something half-blind shithead thief who makes most of its money as a wrestling heel. No way to avoid its roommate, the original villian. Emotional intelligence of a sledgehammer and mean on purpose. Bad liar. Entertaining to watch others beat its ass.

♥︎ The Leftmost Twin is a mean lesbian cunt and the left half of a set of conjoined twin performers, the rightmost of which is recently deceased. Nonspeaking, but if you can sign she's a firecracker. Currently more focused on vengeance than romance. Not afraid to splash drinks in your face the second you say something that irritates her. 13 or so pet birds.

♣︎ The Timid Translator feels almost mean to include bc they're honestly a sweetheart but they go everywhere Ruthie does so here they are. They're mostly just too scared to initiate anything really. Their brothers are haunted.

♠︎ The Guiltridden Butler is a true gentleman's gentleman; a skilled and dedicated master butler who really did kill that guy on purpose. In his late 30s, despite his warrant having been in effect since a week before London fell, he is patient, attentive, deliberate, and unforgivable in the eyes of god, and he knows it.

14. Two things you MUST keep in mind when working with [OC]?

Scrim: 100% the two biggest things I have to keep in mind for Scrim (and all iterations of it) is that it its memory is context dependant — it can't sense the passage of time, so chronological dependancies will ALWAYS be lost, and determining if it can remember/act on something in a given moment must be filtered through that lens; and it is effectively blind. When writing it, I have to be especially mindful of its other four senses and what in a scene would be especially notable to it, especially touch, smell and sound.

Laith: I'd say for Laith is the fact that he has been a professional master butler for the better part of two decades (before all the shenanigans began) and he is good at it, AND that he sees himself as fundamentally, irrecoverably evil, and this colors the kindness he is desperate to show others.

Ruth: For Ruth, it is vitally important to keep in mind that she will never, ever speak aloud, no matter what, and that she is a deeply confident person. Despite her dependance and disabilities, she is at her core ruthlessly self-actualized and knows exactly what she wants, she is not insecure about asking for it.

Sybil: Sybil is on their last semester before they can graduate and has never, in their entire life, failed at anything. This has only ever made them more afraid.
