Tessa had talked a bit about the Olympic Open Ceremonies recently, and this new interview reminded me of that. I remember back when we were all convinced the night before they were announced as the flag bearers, how I personally went through a big change in about 12 hours from oh no to oh yes. I was initally in the camp that was worried about them, for all very good reasons, and then cane around to deciding that if I trusted them about their training, then I should trust they were making the right decision with the flag, as well.
Little did I know that they had a flag pole and the exact boots they would be wearing shipped out to them so they could practice and visualize and make a plan, lol. They were more prepared than I could have ever realized.
