This comic contains two errors:

Spain is using the Cross of Burgundy flag, which they wouldn't be using until 1506. The correct flag is

2. Parts of Europe are highlighted in yellow as if they were granted to Portugal by the Treaty of Tordesillas, and the British Isles are even pointed to. This is not the case.

Also, this comic was the first one to be drafted on paper first. I also wrote it around the same time I found out about Anglish, which is why England calls continents "greatlands". England would later go on to speak a more accurately anachronistic version of Modern English in comic #18.

France, this is the United States we’re talking about here. None of this is new.

Debuting in this comic is the United States’s canonical personality, affectionately dubbed “Ideologically Bipolar”. That name fits us now more than ever, honestly. You’ll see that as this comic progresses, that characterisation progresses into the United States being in an almost constant state of anxiety as well. I guess it's sorta Flanderisation, but it's really easy to do that with the only country I have experience being native to.
