I'm sitting in the bus with only a few more hours left till I'm home and my summer comes to an end. It doesn't feel real. I don't feel 22. I don't feel like an age out. It feels like November auditions are just a week away and I'm ready to do this all over again. I have had the best summer of my life. Something I don't have the chance to experience again. Something I will forever be grateful for for having the opportunity in the first place. The Oregon Crusaders has always been my family and I am so lucky to have been a part of the organization. To be a part of something great in the making. I chose this picture because this is a moment I will never get back. We were rained out of our rehearsal and had to sit under a roof after being soaked while air flagging our drill sets. These are 2 out of 37 wonderful beings I will not have the chance to spin with again. 2 out of 151 talented individuals I will never have the chance to march with again. A lot of people may think we are crazy but drum corps is the best activity a person can put themselves thru. There are so many things I will take from this and use for the rest of my life. I hope all my fellow brothers and sisters who have more marching years ahead of them, take advantage of the time they have and continue pushing themselves. You may not be able to spend your summer in swimming pools, or at the beach, or at themes parks with friends, but you get to spend the summer with hard working people with the same goal as you. To be the best you can be and put a great production on the field. You come out a stronger person, both physically and mentally. If it were not for color guard, drum corps, or OC, I dont know what kind of person I would be. But I know from my experiences in this activity I am who I am today because of it. #AGEOUTRAGEOUT #findingpeaceinthisposition #lizardpose #flaglineswagline #meatloaf #5hoursattheplasmacenter
