"Namikaze-kun, I heard you speak about your choices of future Hokage. You spoke glowingly about Fugaku and Shikaku. You never once even mentioned me. Ouch, I'm wounded~" Orochimaru was full of darkness, and today, also full of teasing.
"Maa maa, you hardly need my endorsement Orochimaru...san." The words slip off his tongue while fingers twitch at the corners of the scroll. The ugly red '改訂' perhaps the sole legible piece of writing on parchment.
Now Minato wasn't one to complain when it came to his precious students, but when it came to their mission reports-- kami, he could barely tell one stroke of ink (or was it a doodle?) from another. With a sigh he sets the open scroll on the table before pulling a blank roll of parchment from the rack next to him. Their report was beyond repair; he'd simply have to draft a new one, submit it and then lie about it to his students so they could practice their writing skills.
This wasn't the first time he had to do this - and it most certainly wouldn't be the last. The thought pulls a short exhale from his lips before blue hues flicker to the senior.
"Besides, you know how unreliable the grapevine is." Cue a whimsical grin, "Ne?"
