Well, you have Ace to thank for that!

You see, what makes him such a great hunter is the fact that Ace breathes the nature and is in perfect sync with it despite of him being a literal fire human (Yes, the devilfruits are still a thing in this AU for reasons (aka they are way too helpful to not include)). As such, he knows immediately if there's something wrong and might just wander off to gods know where.

This is how he finds Tama.

Ace sensed that there was something more in the forests of Wano when they arrived there and soon came to find Tama who'd collapsed from hunger. Because he is a kind person, and because he couldn't find Tama's family, Ace brought her back with him and explained the situation to his brothers, who immediately took her in. Law took some time to fully accept her presence as a part of the family though, but he also soon found himself to be attached.

And there you have it! The reason why Tama is now their little sister is because of Ace being a feral man capable of hearing the whispers of the nature herself.
