It's time to play! YOINK goes the King's hat as his son commits a snatch and run -- @flameandindifference
[Unprompted]
...It was times like this that he wished he was taller.
"Hey--that's technically my crown!" Ahh, let the kid run. He wouldn't get too far before he magicked up some trap to catch him.
@apollyodon | @flameandindifference asked: Creaaaaaak What is it with old wood doors and having noisy hinges? Several doors back at the manor were like that, making his nightly escapades all the more difficult with their racket. But this was not the manor... though it looked large enough to be one. The young boy-- perhaps nine or ten in age from the look of him -- peers around before entering the building.
"...." He does not speak. No no, he's too busy looking at what he can see from the doors. Strange... this place felt... off.
Katherine was walking back into the main hall, feather duster in hand as she tried, and failed, to keep the ghostly webs out of sight. How did they even become ghosts to begin with? Not something she would ask about so soon, there was too much weird already.
She then noticed the little boy at the entrance of the Hotel.
— Esther, were you expecting someone from your class? — She asked throught the walkie talkie. When she recieved a negative answer she approached the boy. — Hey there, are you lost?
@flameandindifference continued from here.
He is going to kill anyone who started that rumor, and anyone who repeats it. His demonic form getting out and he takes Lucien into his arms, letting the place be on fire as he takes him out of there.
"You were and still are your mother's little miracle. Never doubt that. She loves you even while she's away. I promise."

"Oh shit!" The mop handle will thunk to the floor as she'll rush over. The mess is not at all cleaned up, but it doesn't matter right now. Rather than run over the options in her head for any first aid (if such even exists for ingested poison), she'll immediately pull out her hellphone and put in the emergency number for nobles and members of royalty. This is far past the point of administering first aid, unless instructed otherwise by someone trained to handle this, and every second would count.
Where is their dad?? Well... she'll call him once there's a chance.
In her other hand, she'll summon up the stuffed animal she mentioned. An old looking little duck that seems to have seen a lot of use. It would come in handy once things were more settled down.

Hearing himself being addressed, Lucifer quickly sets the book down, looking up at the child questioningly.
"Alright." Once the question is understood, he sets his book aside, placing a random flat object between the pages that had been open before getting up.
"Sure, let's have a look. A little bed underside dwelling monster is no match for me."
Lucius is perhaps a bit old at age 10 to still fear monsters under the bed, but Lucifer sees no reason not to honor the request. Especially if it would set the boy at ease.

It was one of those sleepless nights. Damien woke up, unsure if it was the dream that woke him up or if it was the wind howling outside. The storm had begun a few hours ago, but he found comfort in the rumbling sounds of thunder. Sitting up in his bed, the boy looked around his room. There was a soft knocking sound, but it did not seem to come from the door. Everyone was asleep.
Turning around, Damien realized that the sound came from the window. Curious, he crawled across the bed to lift the curtain - his face lit up when he saw the source of the sound. On the opposite side of the window, there was a crow, staring right at him. Pitch black, barely visible in the darkness of the night, only slightly lit up by Damien's night light. Unlike all the other animals, the crow didn't seem to be afraid of Damien. Excited, he stood up a bit clumsily and reached to open the window. It was a bit of a struggle as he was too short to reach it properly, but eventually succeeded and let the crow in.
Letting his curiosity win, he reached his hand towards the bird, attempting to touch it. Damien had never seen a bird up close like this, they would always fly away. All the animals would run away from him, but the crow came closer. Only that it wasn't an actual crow, but the boy couldn't know.
@flameandindifference asked: Proceeds to (carefully) climb his way up onto Adam's back without a word, only fluttering his wings a little bit - @flameandindifference
Adam goes still as little hands and feet scale him. Once Lucius seems satisfied with his position, Adam's wings shift to better support the kid.
"Since when did I become a jungle gym?" He craned his head back to peer at the boy. "You good, kid?"
