Orpiment is my adult stand-in for the main character in Sword ! He ends up becoming Leon's partner, and is Melony's younger brother.

Once you finish the game, you'll find a pokéball in Leon's room that contains a special charmander who can gigantamax ! Orpiment keeps the charmander and likes to train him in Leon's company. It enables Leon to freely infodump on the charizard line wrtygvbjhnk

I think Orpiment was the first one to develop a crush, but he never gathered up the courage to tell Leon. Leon was pretty much completely oblivious, but started developing feelings later on, and worried they might not be reciprocal. He is still a very hopeful person, so he decided to try his luck and gifted Orpi an applin classic galarian style 👍

I did a short comic about Orpiment's shellos Cookie taking a liking to Leon a few months ago....... Cookie is still a big fan of Leon as a grown up gastrodon!!

Unlike my other ships, Leon and Orpiment don't really have some epic angsty backstory, they just instantly clicked as friends and started crushing really badly on each other later on,,, I love them
