This was not Kouen's first trip to this time period nor would it be his last. He had, however, a goal in mind this time. To meet a man he'd been avoiding over the last two occasions. To get the truth behind the power they had inherited from these heirlooms. Already his lower back burned. The trick now was meeting with his ancestor. The Kouen Ren for which he'd been named.
He supposed the easiest way to do that would be to approach the palace guards and request an audience. If he had to, he'd show off the keychain embedded in his lower back. These items could not be that easy to replicate.. right? The mere curiosity might get him inside, were his ancestor anything like himself.
