Chapter 349 - Battle Flame

hello I’m here again! have you ever drawn Kido without his bandages? I’m just curious I’ve never seen anyone really draw him Especially not without those on! also any Headcanons for him (and onima if ya feel like)

I haven’t! But here you go!

Onima and Kido give me Naruto ninja vibes, so I gave Kido Kakashi’s mole haha.

Kido headcanons:

-Sake connoisseur, but appreciates all alcohols (responsibly)

-‘Kido’ as a surname can mean tree/wooden/castle door, so I consider him a ‘castle guard’ type of guy. He’s the Dad Friend/Cool Uncle of the Flaming Sidekickers, he’ll watch your drink at a party, he’s the designated driver, he’s the one that helps newbie sidekicks settle at the Agency.

-Was a solo Pro-Hero for a couple years before he had a team up with Endeavor. They worked together on a mission and it went really well. Kido applied to be his sidekick after they talked about it, as he believes he’d be a more efficient hero following Endeavor’s lead.

-Since he has no fire resistance at all, he has worked extra hard to train his Traject to work on heat and air.

Onima Headcanons

-We don’t know his Quirk, but we know it’s NOT fire based but that he does have fire resistance. I also don’t know what ‘Onima’ means (オニマー) but google (peak research, I know) says it can mean ‘ogre demon/fearsome demon’ in some context (which would explain the horned headband). My Quirk headcanon for Onima, then, is “Thick Skin”, his skin is incredibly durable and he can take a lot of damage (like being burned to a crisp by Dabi, boy how did you survive that?).

-Joined the Flaming Sidekickers straight out of hero school. I headcanon he joined the Agency the same year as Kido, and the guy looked out for him for a while since Onima was a newbie hero.

-Him and Burnin’ are the youngest sidekicks, and so have a tight bro-sis relationship. They go to karaoke together a lot.

-Is a massive lightweight, often looked after by Burnin’ or Kido.

-Does boxing on his days off.

-He has so many dad jokes.

BNHA OC TIME

Name: Nagakawa Atsuren 流川  篤 蓮 Kanji of her name /Atsuren/ means “deep, true” and “lotus” The surname /Nagakawa/ is a play on saying 川流れ - being carried away by a current; individual kanji means “current, a sink, flow” and “stream, river”

Hero name: Mizu (means “Water” because I am unoriginal shut up)

Age: 32

Colors: her eyes are grey, her hair is pink or purple, I have yet to decide

Quirk: Water Manipulation. Basically what it sounds: she can control water, like a water bender from avatar. But also over time she trained herself to detect water even without looking at it, to “feel” it. I know the quirk is named “Water Manipulation” but actually she can manipulate any liquid... it just might be harder, depending on consistency. She can’t produce water, so she carries it around in her hero costume

About her hero work: Flaming sidekick. Was brought into agency by another OC of mine - Kinukugata (Kurumada) Yunukui since she needed a partner and the ability of Atsu to basically “feel” things without seeing them (if they have some water on/in them) is perfect for her

A little bit about her: She is mute and usually uses sign language to communicate. She likes telling Yunukui gross jokes which makes the latter side eye her but people rarely know sign language so they simply don’t get it. That kind of makes Atsu feel unpunishable XD She also can make visual text with water to communicate with others

Overall she is quiet and likes to follow orders much more than to boss around. She can seem to be unemotional; she is very reserved and patient... Contrary to everyone else in the agency cause they are loud as hell. Weirdly enough, having energetic people around makes her happier. She was scared she won’t fit in but everyone is chill with her just being an “introvert” friend

Random thing: I just had a thought, she probably keeps a lot of plants at home
