Funny anecdotes of living with a spinal cord injury...

Readers have totally got where I was coming from... the funny anecdotes of living life with a spinal cord injury....all of the reactions and shared stories.... there are things about living with a serious life-changing disability that we can laugh about... yes, there are times of heartache, illness and daily struggles but some very funny anecdotes too! Let’s not forget those!
The shared stories led me to remember something that happened a long time ago...
I went to open my front door to a young man from church.... he was dropping off a VHS (yes....a long tome ago!) of my baptism a few weeks earlier....when I reached forward to push the door handle down, I glanced down and noticed a pair of knickers wrapped around one of my front castors.... he came into my flat and I excused myself for a moment to go in to the kitchen to unravel the knickers from my wheel. But the more I’d moved the more wrapped up they’d become!!.... there was no alternative but to get the kitchen scissors out of the draw... he looked in amazement as I hacked them to pieces in order to set them free! After throwing the pieces in the bin, I looked up and asked ‘would you like a cup of tea?’
Oh my word... he couldn’t have blushed any more than he did... poor guy!
Luckily, they weren’t a fancy pair of knickers.... just M&S knickers!!!! 🤪✂️ xx
