this has been in my mind for while

once you create a media online, publicly, specifically with your own characters, they arent your characters anymore. you cant dictate what happens to them.

yes you created them and control canon, but fandom is notorious for being... fandom. you cant tame fandom. they will forever do what they want, because thats what makes it fun.

you can say that people shouldnt ship a child and their father, but dont expect them to follow it. yes, creators can have boundaries on what they dont want to see personally, but they shouldnt control the fans.

if they're well-versed enough in the internet to create content for an audience, they should know when and who to block.

i shouldn't have to explain myself, in detail, and potentially endanger myself, just to "correctly" identify with something. this goes for everything, but especially transharmed.

yes, i want to be abused more. it's none of your business why or what made me decide this. it's also not your business to assign me a title of whether i deserve what i have been through, how it's shaped me today, or if i should be hurt more than i already have.

it's not uncommon for trauma victims to have a want for more trauma, and i think it's idiotic that they have to constantly prefix this with "im not fetishizing it or glamorizing or romanticizing it" to avoid backlash whenever they talk about it. wouldn't this all be better if you stopped wasting energy on deciphering whether or not this person has "real trauma" or not and let them live their life in the way they desire?

and the second someone identifies as "transharmed", even if they did add the "not romanticizing/glamorizing/fetishizing" disclaimer, they get immediately labeled as someone faking, if they explain if they had past trauma or not.

who's side are you actually on? you're more against traumatized people than you let on, it seems.

i find it crazy how people think a dni on a term itself will keep people away.

a term is for identifying with, bringing people together, defining people, in most cases. to say certain people, who cant help what they identify with, dont deserve this term because of your personal prejudice is stupid.

transharmed actually does make sense from a psychological standpoint. wanting to be abused more / at a bigger severity is actually a blaring symptom of previous trauma. reenacting abusive behaviors is also a symptom of trauma.

being harmed / harmful is a trauma response. giving people a place to soothe those urges both consensually and with a safe person is much better than having them not express themselves, and potentially end up worse off somewhere else. the labels of transharm give those expirences a term, one that can be more intuitively understood by other folks.

if youre gonna target someone, atleast do it from a standpoint that isn't oblivious. or better yet, don't do it at all, because the block button implores you use it.
