Flamo backed away, his lungs were struggling to get any air, but he couldn’t panic, not yet; not in front of Tom. He needed to endure it and panic later, cry alone somewhere when the human was done with him, that is; if he survives. He shook his head; he can’t think about it. Not now.
Part of him wanted to look around, seek Joana and scream for help, but the other giant was outside of the house, and Tom could get angry if he tries to escape.
“So Tim made you stuff, right?” It said, gesturing to the tiny things Flamo had gained not long ago.
Flamo froze, panicking rising and telling him to run, to beg, to do anything, to apologize and say he doesn’t deserve it, but… those were the first things someone did for him only, the first time someone spontaneously adapted to include him. He would rather get hurt than give it away.
Did a redesign for fun

The words leaving his mouth were almost natural, even if hurting so much, Flamo was a broken thing, he wasn’t a proper fairy and he would never be, doesn’t matter how much he struggled and tried, he had no wings, he’ll never have.
He had told the truth, and now the giants also know that he is broken, they know that they won’t be able to attract more fairies with him and that he had no use on his own. They know that he was abandoned to his death.
Flamo had thought if he was obedient enough, if he did everything he was told to and took all the beating and insults without complaining they would like him. But they wouldn’t, would they? Flamo would never be accepted, would never be loved.
He isn’t worth love, for as sad as accepting this was, strangely, he stopped crying, and for a moment the fear was also gone. Something about admitting it all to himself made him almost numb, even if for just a while.
For the next whole minute, nothing felt real, in truth, the day didn’t feel real, he almost drowned to death, he met creatures that he only ever heard about in scary stories, he was inside a giant's house, he eat a tasty sweet thing. Nothing seemed real, as if this wasn’t his body, as if he was just watching this all happening with someone else.
"It is can be lying," The giant that carried him there —Tom— said, but its voice didn’t seem angry anymore, if anything, it seemed confused. "We can't believe it."
"It really doesn't have wings, tho," Tim —who was silent since the fountain— said in a low voice, glancing at Flamo, but it could as well as been doing anything else with how little Flamo processed it.
"But it asked to be brought here!" Tom replied, it was as if it had forgotten that Flamo could hear everything, or it just didn't care.
Joana, on the other hand, was looking at Flamo, it had a pained sad expression on her face as it outstretched its hand. "I won't hurt you, little guy," it said with a sad smile and Flamo believed it, he doesn't know why maybe he was just too numb to any self-preservation. "You don't need to come, just if you want."
Flamo didn't know what he wanted, the twins were still loudly talking to each other, and Joana was still looking at him with warm eyes. He got on its hand, there were still tears on his face, he still felt like crying, but somehow he didn't, maybe he was too tired.
"Mom, what- you didn't believe it, did you?" Tom asked in a worried voice, cursing themselves internally for not paying attention to the fairy long enough for their mother to pick it up again.
Flamo flinched, he knew that Tom would attack him at some point, it was angry at him for some reason, Flamo didn't understand anything, not when suddenly he was in the human land with human rules he didn't know.
"Better be safe than sorry," Joana said, "It's better to regret believing the little guy than regretting don't believe in it," Tom sighed at that, she wasn't wrong.
“I’m sure you are tired,” Joana said, and it was right, he was so tired, “You should sleep a bit, okay?” its voice was sweet, the red thing being wrapped around him was so warm, his stomach was full for once. Flamo was so tired and before he could think about it he was sleeping already.
His sleep was full of fear, a kaleidoscope of everything thing he hated, it was only over after he fell, or at least he thought so. Flamo woke up with a scream, his body was covered in sweat and his hands were gripping the fabric under him, to make sure he won’t fall.
For a second he was scared, he didn’t know where he was or why everything was so large, then he remember, then he cried, just then everything felt real again.

Tom was terrified, their mother showed up out of nowhere, and any other day and it would be fine, but not on the day they bring a FAIRY home, to make things worse she acted like always, reckless, treating the murderous creature like some kind of guest.
And the fairy is trying something, it started crying after Joana took it, it must want to turn her against the twins, Tom can’t let that happen, but how can they stop it? If they try something and the fairy gets angry it will harm their mother, won’t it?
So Tom held themselves back, even as the fairy cried as when it hadn’t ordered them to bring it home, even as Joana scolded them for something that is not their fault, Tom held back even as they started to eat together, they really did.
“Thank you, Mom,” the creature said as if nothing.
Tim’s face went pale, Joana’s eyes widened, and Tom finally lost it.
