((Take a look, darlings. Good old @flareblade2000 is back with her rendition off Magni. Again, Magni was her idea to began with then gave me permission to use in this little mad house of a story, but I love Magni with all my heart.))

What do you call an open species equivalent for magic items? IDK, but that’s what the Flareblade is.
Made of smoke and fire, this type of blade can only be made by those who can forge the intangible, the originals being made by a civilization of ghosts who could not build from the already tangible, but could forge spears of sunbeams, buildings of heartbeats, and thousands more I will probably be placing on here.
The Flareblade cannot be broke by force of steel or ice, though it can be injured by water magics, and it burns with the will of the user and the time they spend fighting with it. The stronger the will is, the greater the blade’s strength, the greater its reach.
Its oddest quirks include the fact that it can be wielded by both those of solid matter and of those intangible in quality; and the fact that the flames and smoke used in its construction do determine its qualities.
And, as an example, one of the most legendary of these blades was forged from the smoke of the Ophiotaurus and fire from the sun itself. And there are tales of a modern mage who improv-made one during a siege using only a vape pen, his own hair and a propane tank. Which was weak, but it was enough.
This type of blade is free to use, as you see fit under a CC-BY Vanilla license, as long as I; Thomas F. Johnson am credited as its creator.
And; for the record; yes this was an attempt at making an art test into an oc. Because why not?!
