Trying to keep my shit together in public when a flare hits.
When most of your life is spent plugged into machines and hanging bags of fluids because you can’t keep anything down due to the incredible pain! So you just sit, miserable in the hospital bed as you have to constantly explain to nurses and doctors that it’s a chronic flare up and they shouldn’t poke at the affected area!! Hospitals are always the worst.
When all of your symptoms start to add up and before you know it, you're up for the rest of the night with a bad flare up and a handful of meds.
