Iris couldn't just say "Run Barry run!" (or HR)

Savitar Theory: That it's someone in a situation vaguely similar to Julian. What do I mean? We saw two seasons without Julian, but now he's been inserted into the story. What if there's someone whose existence Barry erased in Fl.point, who was part of the story before (but who we never saw in the version of events presented to us), and that's what the revenge is about?

This is a fanmade map to locate U.S. cities prominently featured or mentioned in the DCCW verse. Although I have tried to be as factual as possible, some assumptions were made on evidence, which I have shared beneath the cut.

Star City has been shown to share the Zip Code and GPS coordinates of Seattle, WA

Coast City is supposed to be in Northern California-  I chose to keep it very northern; however, the Sacramento Bay Area might be another preferred interpretation

Los Angeles will be the main setting for the upcoming Black Lightning show; I have located it as in real-life

National City is a real-life city located south of San Diego, which jives with the earthquakes and forest fires of canon Supergirl and her tied-in comics

Central City, in more recent comics, is located in Missouri. It has sometimes been located along the border with Kansas (around Kansas City, as seen here), but also in some animations as near the St. Louis Gateway Arch. *There is a discrepancy in that, rather than the in-show stated 600 mi distance between Central and Star Cities, there are about 2000 mi.

For Gotham and Metropolis, even though this is a separate continuity from the DCEU films, I chose to use the interpretation of Gotham as New Jersey City and Metropolis as Manhattan (and then there is still a smaller version of NYC).

Monument Point (and its smaller neighbor Havenrock) is supposed to be 300 miles from Star City and the home of an army base. From the 300 mi radius, I chose Spokane as a real-life substitute for the city. *In the comics, Monument Point was near Washington, D.C. but I felt the distance was more important here.

Las Vegas (Felicity's hometown) is located as in real-life.

Keystone City is, per the comics, located in Kansas but across a body of water to nearby Central City, especially since according to the show Barry as a child ran fom Central City to Keystone City to visit his father at Iron Heights. *The Iron Heights situation poses a strong continuity issue: in S2 of Arrow it is said to have been damaged by the Undertaking in the Glades (when most of the non-Glades Starling wasn't), so Keystone City would need to be right next to Star City and Central City would need to be right next to it. We could say that Central City is actually much further out west than per the comics and this map, or we could say screw it and there are two prisons called Iron Heights. I'm choosing the latter.

Hub City is located in Illinois (southeast of St. Louis and north of Cairo) in the comics.

Midway City, where Patty is currently in school, is in Michigan and inspired by Chicago in the comics. Therefore, I located it across the Michigan River from Chicago, near Kalamazoo.

Detroit (Mari's base of operations) is located as in real-life.

Ivy Town in the comics is a New York suburb. Although the distance is further from Star City than one expects Oliver and Felicity to have moved, it does make since that it wouldn't be too far from Boston since Martin as a college student made a trip there from M.I.T. Therefore, I placed Ivy Town around Troy, where the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is located.

Boston is located as in real-life.

Opal City is supposed to be a port city in Maryland per the comics, so I placed it near Baltimore.

 The red star is Washington D.C.

I did not put Bludhaven on this map, but the shows' version of it would be located very near to Star City (unlike the comics, wherein it's in New Jersey).

E-S AU | When Cat Grant was a young journalist, pushed to the margins to work only on gossip articles, she befriended young cop Joe West. Not only was he a great source, but he soon became her closest friend. He helped her look for meatier topics, but her meatiest material came to her by chance: a gossip article on a young actor, who she soon discovered was abusing his wife. Ashamed of herself for burying the story under pressure, Cat drifted away from Joe. It wasn’t like it was hard- Joe was about to move home to look after his ailing mother and he wanted kids when Cat had already sacrificed everything for her shot at a career. But every day Cat regrets not asking Joe to look into that actor. Then her Pulitzer-winning photojournalist James Olsen meets Joe’s daughter Iris, who has herself gone into journalism, at a conference. Iris is tempted to move across the country for the sake of her career, but it would mean leaving behind her best-friend and boyfriend Barry, a CSI determined to stay near his parents. Meanwhile, James has begun a relationship with Cat’s young mentee Kara, but Cat can tell a secret is tearing him apart. From across the country, the two former lovers will try to advise the next generation to do better, and it might finally drive them together again.

in the vein of previous such posts (last April, Feb 2015)

Another show that dominated a portion of my life is coming to an end. When I began watching Flash, because of Grant’s involvement, I was at the end of my teens, living in a college dorm. I cried each of the first several episodes because it felt so impactful. From there, I fell for the entirety of the Arrowverse, and ultimately the TVDverse and other shows I was seeing CW promos for every week... until there was a point where I had multiple of the CW shows almost every night of the week. Last year’s network sale and massacre of my shows put a violent end to that.  And in a lot of ways, that may be for the best. It feels like a bit of a drift-off rather than going out with a proud bang (this season and last were mediocre, save for a few exceptional episodes), mostly due to the disconnectedness and turmoil since COVID hit the world and entertainment industry at the start of 2020 (and this is why there will be no “behind the series” special like there was for Arrow those three years ago). But it still makes me sad to know that Flash, which I was able to redirect my energy toward at the end of Glee, is now coming to an end almost a full decade later, and with it most of my CW watching days, and to top that off, Succession follows this weekend (which has seen me through the tough years since 2019, with the loss of the three grandparents I knew, an aunt, and all the COVID craziness).
