If it's been a while since you read the first installments, I recommend reading the whole thing. There are events in the later parts that are seeded/foreshadowed in the earlier ones.
If you're like "the what story?" here's the deal. Emma is driving to her brother's house for a nice weekend in the mountains, and she's almost there when she finds a stranger lying in the road. It's our friend AU Cade, who managed to get himself captured and interrogated, and who subsequently escaped. Escaped from where? Sure sounds like Chris's house. So what happened to Chris? And what can a mousy schoolteacher and an injured operative do about it?
WAS SOMEONE EVER GONNA TELL THAT LOIS CLARK AND JON CAME FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE???
At least at one point?? I don't know if that's been retcon but what the hell??
For those wondering what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the fact that I've read all of Jon's appearances (at least the early ones), and even though I haven't seen or read everything, what I've gathered is that the three of them come from another world and have taken Clark and Lois's places in this one.
Which is wild that I've never heard of this before??
It's about the rebirth flashpoint and Earth 0
And it's not exactly bad it's just that, wow, technically Jon (and Clark and Lois) are from another universe!
I'm new to comics, so if anyone wants to explain whether this was a retcon, whether it's still canon, or if I misunderstood something, etc., I'd love to hear it!

Okay it's cannon but like in an alternative universe because Comics. I just think the fact DC made Known Murderer and Reblious Teen with Daddy Issues a Catholic priest in a different universe. Just. Casually.
Jason Todd is may or may not be Catholic in the main timeline of DC Comics, but I the Flashpoint storyline, my man is a priest! He was a drug addict, thief, and in the Blood Brother cult before dying, only to come back to life and decide to become a priest in the hellhole that is Gotham. In the main timeline, he comes back after dying and stuffs a duffel bags full of heads! The common trait before all Jason Todds is that they all have to be as dramatic as possible. Dying and coming back as the most unexpected thing. Unbelievable. I love this man.

Ok listen. I know this is a stretch but hear me out. He says “oh my God” in the Twitter takeovers so we know this is a possibility. I see him as a Christ-like figure because I saw his whole confrontation with Mephiles and was like “this is a thing that happened in the Bible??” and the pose Mephiles shows him in is literally like a crucifixion and Mephiles is meant to be a demon / false prophet reference. And also he’s called a demon in Shadow The Hedgehog 2005 then the guy who calls him that is like “I was wrong I’m sorry” and that also reminds me of a thing with Jesus in The Bible. But the biggest reason is his whole thing with Maria cause I think he’d come to earth and hear Ave Maria once and convert to Catholicism idk he’s like we’re comforted by a female familial figure named Mary sometimes called Maria?? And her color is blue????? Heck yeah I’m in because I Will Cry. Also feel free to share this as propaganda obv even if he doesn’t get in the bracket just. It’s funny.
I feel like he’d battle a lot with being seen or portrayed as a demon and how the aliens he’s related to very much look and act like demons idk lmao- and also I feel like confession would just be good for him I think he needs it for his mental health
There is a debate on the lovely website tunblr that Shadow T. Hedgehog is an allegory for Jesus Christ.
He is Jesus, idk what to tell you. He lived, he was sealed away, he was awakened again and deemed the ultimate lifeforms, he’s angry but not evil, does what he believes is best for people and the world at any given time. Total loser.
With our DM out of town for the weekend, my brother, my Dad, and myself pulled out Flash Point, intending for it to be the first game of a board game day. Instead, we had the single longest game of Flash Point that I've ever played, with us finally losing at the four and a half hour mark. The game usually runs 45ish minutes.
We were playing with the Tragic Events fire and event decks, on the mechanic's garage map with the basement, both from the Extreme Danger expansion. Getting into the basement was hilariously difficult, with one firefighter getting taken out by fire while going for the stairs, and us eventually dropping a fire ladder down a hole in the floor that was created by an explosion. Then that ladder got knocked down and we had to set up a new one. And then that one got knocked down. And it got set back up and knocked down again. We only saved four of the requisite seven victims, but we kept sneaking by, just barely avoiding the building collapsing on us, while we lost a total of four firefighters to explosions and fire. It was absolutely brutal.
I want to play the map again sometime, but without the Tragic Events decks. They're just not as interesting as the decks from the legacy version, though my brother enjoys adding the decks. That said I'm very much looking forward to the individual fire and event decks coming for every map with Golden State Heroes, whenever that actually ships.
Wooo! Everything Donnie related I've drawn. I still love Neo and Smith, but it feels VERY good to finally draw some other hairstyle/outfit/face/body type that isnt them again!
