Why.
I had another flashback in yoga, just like in therapy yesterday, but it was more physical. It felt like the Thing was happening again, physically, like sensation-wise in a specific pose that I usually get uncomfortable/nervous doing. The instructor was pretty chill about it, but I completely freaked. I hate this.

In Conclusion...
Days went by...I had no idea what was happening. I didn't know what was supposed to happen or what to expect. I just remember my mom staying by my father's side as much as she could. We had aunts and uncles close by, so my siblings and I always had some place to be.
I remember spending nights with family, rather than staying in our own home. It's never the same when a family member isn't there.
My sister instantly took the role of Mom #2. She took great care of my brother and I while our mom was preoccupied - he was 11, and I was 10.
I don't know how often my older siblings got to visit our dad, but my brother and I were too young to visit, as Pappa was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit.
On Father's Day (June 18, 1995), however, we were allowed in to see him. He was paralyzed and hooked up to several machines. Mom said that even though he can't respond, he can still hear us. I left the hospital that day feeling as if though he would be alright, because Pappa did try to communicate with us by wiggling his toes and moving his tongue.
What did I know -- God knows best. And the next day - Monday, June 19, 1995 - My Pappa passed away after suffering another heart attack. He was 48 years old. His vitals had improved. His balloon pump was removed. He was apparently doing better. Then...he was gone.
Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raji'oon إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return
May Allah SWT grant my father the highest level in jannah and forgive his shortcomings. Aameen.
Throwback: Flashback - Calvin Harris.
Love him since I the first time I'm hearing this. This song also reminds me of my sweet seventeenth birthday party and high school.
