"Am I supposed to be scared now?"
█ ▌ Sitting in a semi-crowed theater with a bag of salty buttered popcorn in her hands, Holly popped one then two into her mouth as her eyes were fixated on the large display screen. She doesn’t remember the last time she was last able to enjoy a good film at the cinema with her companions, so whenever she was able to have a free weekend to herself away from her work she made the most of it. This time, the twenty-one year old had coerced -- or guilted -- her friend Luhan with her to watch a movie. It had been a while since the two of them last hung out, so she figured it was about time that they changed that and spent some time together and play catch up.
█ ▌ The movie she choose to see was called The Target. It was about a reformed ex-mercenary framed for murder and a doctor whose wife has been kidnapped join forces to set things right. Holly always found movies or television shows relating to her occupation as a doctor or as an agent to be entertaining. The films always romanced them in a way that seemed unrealistic to the real thing, but at the same time they held some truth to them. ‘I suppose it’s always nice to imagine,’ she thought after realizing the director catered for the sake of entertainment purposes.
█ ▌ Just then an interesting scene caught her attention. ❝ Am I supposed to be scared now? ❞ she quietly whispered to her male companion. For someone who was textbook smart, she sure lacked common sense to know when and when not to take things as they were. The scene was rather graphic and horrific, but none of that seem to phase the twenty-one year old. As cynical as it was she was used to seeing blood, limbs severed from bodies, and the works. After all, science required dissection and she was more than used to dissecting something with a scalpel.
█ ▌ Holly knew that it was probably rude of her for speaking during a movie. Most of the time she couldn’t help it since the words left her mouth just before her mind could process everything. As someone who was naturally curious about the world and knowledge all around her, she needed to know everything and everything. If she wasn’t aware or understood something, she would speak her mind freely and ask the question that probably doesn’t need to be said. She just hoped Luhan was used to her meaninglessly mindless babbles and not get too annoyed with her.
