Gnaw to the Bone (3rd Level, Evocation)
Casting Time: 1 bonus action
Range: Touch
Components: S, M (a hollowed bone)
Duration: Instantaneous
Classes: Druid, Ranger
You touch a dead beast, dragon, or monstrosity that has been dead for no longer than 24 hours. The dead creature’s flesh suddenly turns to swirling dust, leaving behind only bones. You then regain a number of hit points based on the size of the creature– 4d10 for a Small or smaller creature, 5d10 for a Medium creature, and 6d10 for a Large or larger creature.
Flashback. If you’ve already cast this spell since the end of your last long rest, you can instead choose to cast it as a Flashback spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher. If you do, you instead regain three times as many hit points as you normally would. After doing so, you can’t cast this spell again until the end of your next long rest.
