The album was released in April 1983 spawning four singles including “Flashdance...  What A Feeling” by Irene Cara. The album contains 10 tracks from artists such as Donna Summer, Irene Cara, Michael Sembello, and more. The album topped several album charts including the US where it achieved a 6-time platinum status. In Canada, the album peaked #2 but achieved a 9-time platinum status.
