Update

We're so sorry it's taken us so long to make this post; we were hoping we could wrangle AO3 into working with us, but it looks like we can't for now.

To post your gift to the exchange collection, you're going to have to do it manually. This is how that works:

Set up your work to post as normal, with all the appropriate tags and such.

When you get to the "Associations" section, enter "bnhahalloweenflashexchange2018" into the "Post to Collections / Challenges" box, and the username of your giftee into the "Gift this work to" box. (Your giftee is the first username in the email you were sent.)

Given the lateness of this post, all participants will have until the end of October 31st, 2018 to post (countdown). To those whose vital questions have remained unanswered: we can discuss extensions. We ask that those people reply within two days of our reply, after which their assignments will be passed over to the pinch-hitters.

Alrighty. Two announcements:

1) Fall Exchange check-ins have been sent!

Participants, check your emails. There will be a link to the google form you’ll be using to check in, and a link to a countdown until it closes. Please fill out the form even if you need to drop out. There’s a section in there where you can let us know, and this is your last chance to do so without penalty.

2) Trouble with assignments for the AO3 Halloween Flash Exchange.

We seem to have run into a glitch that’s keeping us from matching participants. While not without its workarounds, those workarounds will take a bit of time, and your local head mod isn’t going to be available for large portions of today and tomorrow.

Currently we’re considering transferring the requests over to a prompt meme and letting participants decide their own assignments, but that needs testing, and, again, time.

At any rate, it looks like the dates of the Halloween Flash Exchange will need to be bumped back a little. We apologize deeply to anyone this has inconvenienced.

I only saw ten works at the collections and I don't think any of them exchanged with one another. are there more works I can't access to?

No, there was just a bit of a mess on the mod end that kept us from keeping everyone on track, so we’re still missing quite a few people. Sorry about this! We’re in the process of picking up the marbles and seeing who needs a pinch-hitter at the end of it.

A Halloween Flash Exchange update:

While AO3 was glitching, one of our co-mods pulled through and has started manually drafting the assignments. These assignments will go out in a few hours.

With this delay in mind, the new deadline is the end of November 1st, 2018.

I'm trying to fill out the form to sign up but nothing is filling in the way it should? There are no drop-downs that show up when I start typing characters or ships or anything.

Sorry about all this, but I believe it should allow you to correctly enter your preferred characters/ships now.
