Barrisco Headcanons || Part One
Cisco will hand Barry his early concepts for inventions. Not always but when he feels stuck or there's an issue he can't quite identity, he shows it to Barry. It's not always about making Barry identity the issue for him, though sometimes he does and Cisco feels just about ready to turn his degree right back into the college he attended, but seeing Barry's perspective helps. The questions he asks makes Cisco see exactly what the problem is.
They bite. Cisco definitely started it. They're holding hands and laying on the couch and Cisco just lifts Barry's hand up to his mouth and chomps down on the part of his hand below his pinky. "OW! Cisco, what the hell?!" Which snowballs into them viciously biting each other every chance they get.
Movie nights! Every month or so they go to the drive in movie theater and watch a new movie. Action/sci-fi/horror are their favorite genres. They splurge on terrible movie popcorn and so, so much candy. Naturally cuddled up together in a pile of blankets. If its really cold out they've got some warm drinks, no doubt, but if not its just two very large soda cups.
Cisco's powers are incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, that helpfulness does not stop while Cisco is sleeping. Cisco wakes up in the middle of a deep sleep from visions of crime going on in the city or of a fight Flash is in the middle of. He'll reach over half asleep, grab his phone and call Barry to tell him whatever he needs to know. Sometimes he can back fall asleep, depending on what happened in the vibe. When he can't go back to sleep, Barry brings him food.
I think Barry spends a lot more time as the Flash than any of Team Flash can ever keep up with. Caitlin, Iris, Cisco, Joe and other miscellaneous members are all asleep while Flash is out patrolling.
Which just leads into: Barry, who is up for about 20 hours every day x Cisco, who has the worst sleep schedule known to man.
Cisco and Barry sharing a meal at 2 AM. Barry bringing by whatever specific piece Cisco needs for an invention at 11 PM. Cisco never hops on comms, not unless there's a bigger bad, so most of these moments happen somewhat incidentally.
Sometimes Barry comes over and Cisco is asleep and just makes sure to clean up what Cisco might have left out. Might "steal" leftovers (that CIsco made specifically for him).
I think Barry probably enters all of Team Flash's homes to check up on them but for Cisco specifically he always comes in with a key instead of phasing in. Which is something Cisco specifically requested and I think its definitely a trauma thing. Not exactly the idea of Barry being in his house without permission but being reminded that a speedster could just walk on in. Especially if Cisco was awake to see Barry phasing in, I think it'd freak him out too badly.
They both cook and I think they both enjoy cooking. But I think what eventually comes about is Cisco cooking for Barry in bulk and Barry either bringing home food or cooking meals for Cisco.
They don't cook at the same time for sure. They're used to working together but definitely not in a small enclosed space. This is a bigger issue in Cisco's place. Cisco likes his space and is just as serious about his apartment as he is his lab in Star Labs. So, they learn pretty quickly that they can't cook together unless they have enough space / one of them does the majority of the cooking and the other just picks up the miscellaneous tasks.
This does mean Barry doesn't cook in Cisco's kitchen very often and Barry hates not being able to do that for him. Cisco lets him clean instead. (While "lets" is a funny way to say it, its accurate. Barry wants to be helpful and doesn't view it as a chore or labor but instead an act of service)
I think it'd be very funny if, opposed to what you would assume, Cisco is terrible at fixing things. Not because he's actually terrible at it but because he Procrastinates. And Barry isn't much better. Though he will actually attempt to fix the issue, he tends to do quick fixes instead of solving the problem. Which just leads to, whenever they move in together, having an apartment with So Many Problems. Yeah, the AC only really works on one setting and Cisco's supposed to fix it but he's just been too busy (Cisco is laying on the couch watching TV as Barry is explaining this to Iris). There was a leak from the window and Barry just lathered on a shit ton of tape. He'll get to it, he swears. (One of the Team Flash members comes in and fixes it for him) They do get around to this little issues eventually but a lot of their daily routines revolve around just avoiding all of them. The drawer that's stuck jutting out in the kitchen, the hardwood board that broke when Cisco dropped something on it, the outlet that only works when a completely unrelated light switch is on, etc.
Final one for this post: Barry picks Cisco up a lot. I think Barry picks up every member of Team Flash but when they start dating, Barry picks Cisco up all the damn time. Sometimes Barry throws Cisco over his shoulder after a night out at a bar where Barry was the Designated Sober One. Sometimes its picking Cisco up bridal style while they're at home. Sometimes its having to throw Cisco over his shoulder to get him out of his lab. Sometimes he'll just hug him and lift him up and then put him right down and continue on like nothing happened.
